maybe you know him maybe you dont, but looking at some numbers, and at his history, OLB willie williams, who is draft elgiable, ran 40 in a 4.54 did one more rep than curry, and is 6'3 230 pounds, was supposed to be a top college LB in Miami but had a very interesting college career to say the least, anyway i belive the man could come in late in the draft around 5th through 7th, and be A HUGE plus for us, and at a steal of the century. well what is your thoughts on him, and if we should take him, i feel him with say mathews, or english, or laurinitous, would give us the best LB core in the league, with porter and wake.

Sorry but to me dan is the best pick....
Brady just has a better team around him. He will never be dan marino.
If i had a choice of picking dan or brady #1 overall right now, knowing how good both were, i would pick dan all day.
God knows how many superbowls dan would had won if he had as good a team as brady did.
Thats why brady was picked in the 6th and dan in the 1st..
PS. Dan had players like karim abdull jabbar as the starting RB for god sakes. That says it all. OH and no defense. Made Slowish WR OJ mcduffie look like a superstar.
Like I said, no player is perfect. Dan didn't do play action well and he didn't run well. He did everything else well. He certainly did more than what was required to win titles. The problem is that the rest of the team didn't.
I love Shula, and think he was a great coach; but truth be told - the Dolphins first round draft choices from 1984 to 1989 were unbelievably terrible. Six out of seven of the first round picks from that time period were flops. Not just marginal players - they were flops. The only decent player was Louis Oliver. Had we hit on half of those picks, Dan may have had multiple rings in his career.
Sure Miami used a 1st round and NE used a 6th...but there is no comparison.
Tom Brady is an execellent QB. No doubt. He has been 'decent' when he had no run game, and average WR's, and he has been 'excellent' when he has had Moss and Rb's. not to mention a very good defense.
Dan Marino had a few seasons with good/great WR's. he NEVER had a running game or defence to support him, and even when all he had was one possession WR that was being double and triple teamed, Dan still got OJ McDuffie the ball a league leading 90 times.
Tom Brady plays excellent in a solid system. and as Don once said..."Dan Marino is a system"
no comparison.
phew....that feels better....I almost had an aneurism.
Tom Brady would have been a big bruise if he had to play behind the Miami team marino did.
Add to that olivadotti's sorry excuse for a defense, and you have a qb that did it possession after possession to keep the fins in games they would have not been competetive in without him.
Brady also got years to prepare, Dan stepped in year 1.

Take them both. Let Brady learn from Dan, and trade Dan while he still has value later in his career (ala Brett Favre). Then we'd have 2 great QBs back-to-back, if that even works considering how much younger Brady is than Marino.
Of course, if I was that GM, I would have drafted Drew Brees and Randy Moss when we had the chance. I'd consider those guys major steals as well, considering where they were drafted.
