Philbin disagreed when asked if RT struggles w/ deep ball & said that 1 of the things they have to do a better job of is cut down on sacks

JP on DJordan: Used him in multiple roles. Like his versatility. Still utilizing him as a DE & want to continue to develop his pass rushing

Philbin insinuated that it's time for Jamar Taylor & Will Davis to really contribute this year. Also confirmed that BMcCain is a nickel CB
I get what they are trying to do with Jordan. We are going to need a premiere pass rusher as Wake gets closer to the end. You want to develop him BUT do it already. He will only get limited snaps playing with Vernon and will be out of contract by the time he's ready to contribute. SLB would be a waste of his talent in this system. It's a two down role that doesn't play to his strengths, which are coverage and pass rush. Sticking him in a run stuffers role just doesn't fit.
JP also said he likes Turner at RG and Thomas at LG. Considering the only spot that Thomas was decent playing was RG, this tells me they are probably going to draft a LG relatively high...if they are smart.
The comment about Taylor and Davis sounds like they are not convinced and they will draft a CB as well.
I also read where he said Matt Hazel's skills are good enough to start in this system.
So basically, WR, CB, LG are all still in play for the draft as well as RB and DT.

With Philbin saying today (per Fins' Greg Likens) that Brice McCain is a nickel back, it's clear Fins placing great trust in Jamar Taylor.
Or is that a diversion to get a cb in the first round. Nobody knows.

Teams unanimously approved medical timeout during this morning’s annual meeting of commissioner, owners, GMs and head coaches.
I also read on twitter that Philly is expected to release Evan Mathis if they cannot find a trade partner. He would insert nicely as a veteran left guard and allow us to address other needs in the draft. He's definitely an upgrade from Colledge.
Another colossal *&^% up by Ireland and Parcels by letting him walk out of Miami in 2008 in favor of a fat contract to Justin Smiley.
Both played football at Alabama, BTW. Smiley a 2004, 2nd round pick and Mathis a 2005, 3rd round pick.
Mathis earned the starting spot right after preseason in Philly in 2008. He is currently 33 years old.

If Philbin truly believes what was just said, then Ross has wasted his money for the past few years and this year, especially, on Philbin.
Miami will definitely be looking for AT LEAST one more lineman, either thru FA, cuts, or the draft. I would love for a highly rated tackle to be there at 14, to where Miami could move him inside, and once Albert retires or is injured again, this guy could take over.
Philbin has been blabbering for quite a while now that he likes Turner and Thomas, but have not put them on the field often (especially Turner). Thomas has been on the field, true, but this year, so far, Miami is putting him back to his college position of guard.
Nevertheless, at least one more lineman has to be picked up. I just don't trust what Miami presently has (not including Albert or James).

Turner battled injuries most of the year... That is why he didn't see the field much...

apparently mathis thinks he's under paid even though he's making so much money the eagles don't think he's worth it. So while he'd be an upgrade at what we've got I wonder what it will take to sign him? A 33 year old guard needs to come in for a reasonable salary.
And yes Sam, I was referring to your comment about 450 grand, which is $450,000 per game.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.
The 2015 NFL Draft is April 30-May 2 in Chicago. The first round starts at 8 p.m. on May 30, the second and third rounds begin at 7 p.m. on May 1, and the fourth-seventh rounds begin at noon on May 2.
Look how long it took for Soliai to develop. 4 years and we have a lot more invested in Jordan. There is still a chance he will develop AND replace Wake when we REALLY need the help.
Jason Taylor had 2.5 sacks in his 3rd year. What would have happened if we gave up on him? JJ called him out big time back then.
