Strong is great at 50/50 balls, which I define as poor throws (low or away) or blanketed throws. His long speed and 50/50 ability make him a good deep threat as well. He is good but not great at slants. His quickness/hips is an issue. This leads to him poorly coming in and out of breaks, so he is not an ideal option for comebacks, or any quick routes, but his quick hands make up for that a bit.

Well, none of the top 13 teams in the draft have signed a top WR except the Jets (6) but now the bears (7) are in the market so it's still status quo. The Rams are expected to re-sign Kenny Britt but still need a #1 guy to go with Nick Foles.
That still leaves Jax, Oak, Ten, STL, Min & Cle with needs for a #1 WR.
We have little (to no) shot at Cooper, Parker or White.
Tannenbaum said today it will definitely be BPA so they could end up with an OT, DT or CB unless a top DE falls (not likely).
I don't think it will be Jaelen Strong. Probably another 2nd round WR like Agholor, Perrimen or Devin Smith

Drooling for Trae Waynes...I think he is the only Corner worth his salt in this draft. If not, I'd trade down if possible and snatch up one of those late 1st rounder or early 2nd rounder WR's: DGB, Dorsett,Perryman, Strong , Smith.
The draft is so deep in WR's that makes no sense to pick one at #14.
I'm no draftnik, but I just don't get excited over a CB at all, I've been known to be wrong before, but I would love one of the top 3 WR's with J Strong inching into the picture as well.

Yes I liked the video and highlight I saw of him as well.. At this point he is my first choice unless some other top stud falls to us at 14. Joe had me a little concerned when he mentioned Darqueze Dennard another MSU CB 1st rd pick 2014 who didn't contribute much at all last year for the Bengals...
And if you watch the highlights, the guys Traes Waynes was covering in those highlights are most likely not ever ever going to be NFL WR's.. SO I guess you need to take that with a grain of salt..
I did also like his run support and blitz highlights.. And his 40 at the combine was pretty impressive as well..
Bottom line if the powers that be, much smarter then me like him, I will love the pick... If not I understand their concerns...

And i have heard that.....
Leonard Williams, Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota, Kevin White, Amari Cooper, Davante Parker, Fowler, Gregory, Beasley, Shane Ray, Dan Shelton, Trae Waynes, Brandon Sherff, La'el Collins, Andrus Peat, TJ Humphries will also be gone by 14...

when did he say that? he said BPA, not BPA at a need position, which is actually the opposite. BPA at a need position is picking for need---you're going to pick the 2d best player available at a need position?
makes no sense

Over time strict BPA leads to a better team, however it takes longer to get there. Is this owner patient enough to reap the fruits of that kind of draft theory?
Doesn't seem like it--but i do personally prefer strict BPA.
Chyren explain the difference between bpa at position of need, and drafting for need? Unless you are saying someone picking for need would deliberately pick the 2d best guy at that spot?

That would be like Indy drafting Mariota in the first round when they just drafted Andrew Luck.
Nobody is spending a number 1 pick for that guy to sit on the bench for 4 years...unless they have an aging player at QB.
Most teams use a horizontal matrix and there are usually multiple players to choose from....just because you take a WR instead of a RB doesn't mean you didn't take the BPA.
