He's a heck of a DC. Maybe we should check if he would like the warm weather of south Florida?

we have a crappy d coordinator. there's one of the best ones on the market out there. makes too much sense so there is 0% chance we attempt it.

LeBeau is an all-time great defensive coordinator. But he's going to be 78 when next season kicks off.

If he still had anything left on his fastball he'd still be the DC in Pittsburgh.

We don't need him.

At age 78, does anybody need that high level of stress for his health? Probably not. The time has passed....

He certainly was. I have no idea if he still is and I don't want to find out. Last thing I want to do is rely on a guy who will be pushing 80 by the time we convert our our roster to a 3-4 and fully implement his defense.

With Rex Ryan apparently taking the Bills job, Jim Schwartz is now on the market. I'd much rather go after him.

PEPPER JOHNSON !

He coached under Bellichick for 14 years and has 3 SB rings. Who better to scheme against the Pats?

He also coached a very good unit in 2014, Buffalo. Insider trading.

You are correct. I read on cbssports yesterday that Schwartz was staying on. That article has been removed.

Go get him, Joe.

Welcome back eesti, but I was speaking more on Ryan not being able to take a back seat and let Schwartz run his own style of Def, I can see Rex letting and OC do his own thing but not a DC. The flip side to that is, I can't see Schwartz sitting back and letting Ryan meddle in his style of D being played (remember Schwartz being an abrasive prick and almost going to blows with Jim Harbaugh during the post game handshake a few years ago?) I just see it blowing up is all, and I have no idea if these guys know each other and/or get along.

Bills defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will not return to Buffalo for 2015 season, a league source told ESPN's Adam Caplan.

It's a pipe dream to think Coyle is getting let go........but if he did

I don't think it's a pipe dream. I just don't think they were going to dump him for an unknown, hopeful upgrade.

Schwartz is different. He's a proven commodity and a clear upgrade. He also runs the same 4-3 we run now so the transition should be quick.

In my opinion, schwartz is the only type of candidate that could force Philbin to dump Coyle. I'm optimistic.

I think Schwartz is headed to Dallas if they don't re-sign Marinelli and LeBeau is headed to Arizona.

Could be. Heard the Giants are interested in schwartz.
