NEW QB

I think its time to go after Mariotta from Oregon. Time to flush Tanny down the toilet with his wife Lauren, send them packing with Philbin. Since Harbough will end up in Oakland I think we go after Malzahn. So it will be the M&M era. Whos with me?

Dream on. There's no way that Mariotta gets past the Bucs, Jets, or the Titans.

Oregon always has good QBs.

Are there any doing anything in the NFL? Joey Harrington?

It's the system. Pass.

I'd take Hundley or Winston if they fell to us. Other than that I wouldn't waste a first round pick on one.

What is your problem with RT, dolfan1?

If Miami goes after a QB in the first round, it would be a wasted pick. Miami has other pressing needs.

I think we start with a new QB, a true leader coupled with new coaching and start over. I want to watch them implode this team and start over. This team is over, they cant compete with the top tier teams, the key is to go to the SB....we aint going with this group of clowns.

this team no matter coach, QB, or players seems to be exactly the same, it is really amazing.

We have to fix the lines that means DT, OG, OT. Then we have to fix the LBers. We get much more bang for our our buck and a much better team that is tougher, stronger, more reliable and better equipped to play on the road and in bad weather (Read December).

The right DT's also mean we will be able to push the pocket from the middle, freeing up our DE's to do wht they do without double or triple teams.

Giving RT and our receivers more time to throw, run routes and get open, resulting in better offense, more first downs, ball control and more points.

That means more wins...

I disagree, dolphan1.

The foundation starts with your QB; RT has been improving every year. Now, If a Dan Marino clone is sitting there for Miami to take, then of course that's the route that should be taken, but Miami will probably be picking in the late teens to mid twenties, so no Marino will be there (although that's exactly where Marino was picked. LOL).

This team does not need to be imploded. It has good players at most every position. Miami just needs to have one more good to great draft, along with a few good free agent pickups, then a leader that can put it all together on the field.

At the present time, I agree, this team cannot compete with the top tier teams, although prior to the rash of injuries, they did just that, i.e., GB, Denver. Our guys just could not close the deal (which has been Miami's pattern for quite a few years, now).

Say Miami did not have the rash of injuries it did this year, they still would not be one of the top tier teams because they would have still had problems closing.

Anyway, this team has quite a bit of talent; just need a few more (good) bodies and better leadership.

Tannehill didn't have time to throw mid range passes this week let alone go deep. 6 sacks, 7 hits, 12 hurries. That's 26 pressures in 33 passes!

I don't care what new QB you get. If that's the protection given, you lose. Tom Brady, manning, Rodgers....doesn't matter.

I wouldn't touch him, look how many games this season he has either equal interceptions as TD's or more interceptions then TD's.. Against iffy talent in college. Add that into his character and judgement questions, no thank you sir... This guy makes Johnny football look smart, mature and well mannered...

The QBs inability to hit a deep throw is creating a lot of that pressure too.

If there was a threat of the deep ball teams wouldn't crowd the line.

I don't want a qb in the first round. The way the college game is played most aren't ready to come in and play right away. I'm not against getting one in the 3rd or 4th round to develop and eventually compete.

You have to be able to read a defense in the pros.

When your QB is limited so is your coaching staff and the rest of the offense.

We are not looking for a new QB... RT has over 3000 yards already, 21 TD's to only 9 interceptions and a 92.6 passer rating thus far for the season... Those are not the type of numbers that say time to get a new QB... I am a little confused by even the idea suggestion or premise at this point by any one... Seriously that is pretty crazy to suggest after the season he is having... Is it perfect no, but it has been pretty damn good... Injuries have plagued us and hurt this team tremendously as of late...

Tough Decision, Next year Tannehill could be Kaepernick an overpaid QB that can't make the big pass on a big contract

The struggles of this team aren't just the QB's fault.

Look at tonight's MNF game...Atlanta who has Matt Ryan is getting slaughtered by Green Bay, and Green Bay barely beat Miami.

But when Miami loses it's because Tannehill isn't good enough?

Come on people. This is getting old.

And Ryan almost brought them all the way back. Thats not possible if you need 10-12 play drives to move the ball down field.

I'm for keeping Tannehill and drafting a rb in the first rnd, maybe the kid Gordon from Wisconsin Gorden. Our offense looked pretty good when we had Moreno in the backfield.

As qb's go I think Hundley is the best in this draft. As a owner I would be scared as hell to give Winston my money.

It's no coincidence that Kaepernick's struggles coincided with the struggles of SF's O-line. He has been sacked more than any QB in the league! (J-Mart has allowed 6).

If only people could see Tannehill with a solid o-line. He's had a pretty good year without one.

Tannehill has the same TD & Int numbers right now (after 13 weeks) that Kaepernick did all of last year but last year CK was a phenom and this year Tannehill is a scrub. eye rolling smiley

There's no doubt that Tannehill has shown improvement this year. That said, it's also obvious that defensive coordinators have adjusted to the fact that Miami can't throw the deep ball (and currently won't even try to). IMO, that limits this offense significantly. Can you imagine how different this season might have been if defenses had to be concerned with the long ball? The offensive line's inability to give Tannehill time or even a clean pocket to throw from are certainly factors but in all fairness, even when he's had the time to throw and has a receiver running behind the defense, he has had trouble throwing long with accuracy. I guess this doesn't mean he can't be a good QB or that he can't win but unless he can improve on his long ball, he will remain limited as a QB.

He is very limited, we need a Rodgers type QB, tough, agile, thinks on his feet and gets the job done in the clutch.

Another of the many reasons I will always hate Nick Saban. Could've drafted Aaron Rodgers the year we took Ronny Brown. I believe we could have drafted Frank Gore in the second round that year.

He literally has the worst track record I've ever seen. He's batting damn near .000
