It would be interesting to see a statistic as to what other teams visiting Denver do in that regards and what the win/loss record is.
I am of the mindset that there is a physical effect. In the extra day of acclimation the body will manufacture extra red blood cells so that the bloodstream can carry extra oxygen to the cells.
In fact, endurance runners will train at high altitudes to stock up on extra red blood cells. Some of the blood is then withdrawn and stored to be re-injected just before a race.
A moot point, as long as we win.

Just ask Lance Armstrong and his former teams. He is an expert on blood transfusions.
Miami leads the series with Denver, 11-5-1 with 5 wins in Denver and a tie. We are 3-1 in our last 4 trips to Denver.
I've been to Denver many times. Granted the time difference isn't the biggest issue, it's the altitude. If you are exerting yourself, you WILL feel it. Personal experience has taught me that even one extra day helps. The head coach doesn't agree. We'll see how the team holds up late in the fourth quarter, then we'll know how much of a big deal this is.

2 things, one we are not a world trained athlete who train for a living... And one extra day isnt going to miraculously fix the altitude issue....
I do agree, a layman feels it, I have seen shows at Red Rocks and had to hike up and down those hills and felt like I was gonna die.. But I wasnt sober nor any where near professional athlete shape...And I was just as dead ass tired on the 4th night of the show as I was on the first......

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

I don't remember ever going early and you see the results i posted above. So why is Philbin now a moron for doing what every other coach has done successfully?
