Ever consider becoming a defense attorney, holic?

You already have the method down pat.

Back to this thread......I feel like we hardly blitzed all day long (I could be wrong on that, I haven't watched the game on TV yet and you tend to get caught up in the game live), so why would we start on the last drive? It's hard to blitz a team that has Calvin Johnson, Golden Tate, decent TE's and a good pass catching RB like Reggie Bush. But I get it that you HAVE to blame coaches for every thing, so blame away.

someone blitzing from the flushed out spot so they get the sack.

Well, I DID watch the game on TV starting with the second half though.

But from what I saw there, Stafford was being constantly harassed and hurried and batted down and sacked through pressure up front.

Come on, holic admit it.

It's Philbin's M.O. from the Packers game as well, HIS WORST NIGHTMARE IS THE QUICK BOMB TOUCHDOWN.

He just hasn't yet had it dawn on him that a QUICK TD is not your worst nightmare because it STILL leaves you time on the clock.

Your WORST nightmare is death by slow poisoning with no time left on the clock to comeback.

So had I'd been defensive coordinator on that last series, I would have told the defense when they received the ball at their (what?) own 34 yard line, go all out for the sack on every play and if it results in some guy being wide open for a quick touchdown, let's try and get it back.

I'm not gonna let them get into the position our basically prevent defense let them get into where they found themselves on our 27 yard line with 1:21 seconds left where a field goal was a certainty and they were able to sit back and use their remaining plays to take "pot shots" at the endzone touchdown.

It's a good thing you're not a defensive coach then........

more blitzing in the second half. and some in the first too, it was working. Shoulda continued it. Or MAYBE one of the guys actually beat their guy and get a sack.

TRANSLATION: Let me, dolphaholic, not consider the thread where you are DEFENDING Philbin, it's much more fun for me to fight you where you are attacking him cause that proves that you will always attack Philbin and never defend him cause you ChyrenB are not objective (God forbid that I admit that you are, whether right or wrong, are objective because that is the worst nightmare for me, dolphaholic).

And, as such, I dolphaholic don't realize that that means that I dolphaholic IS THE REAL PERSON WHO ATTACKS THE PERSON AND NOT THE ISSUE.

You do realize we held them to a 3 and out the series before without all out blitzes right?

And I didn't agree with that then so is your point that the teenager had played with that same handgun the day before so why blame his parents for not taking it away from him? How were tthey to know this would happen.
Further translation: So that just means that we were UNlucky because had they scored THEN , we would have had time for a comeback.
