All football talk aside, I wish Coach Philbin the best. I lost my Dad this past New Year's Eve so, I feel a connection.

Sad news, hopefully he finds some solace in a win on Sunday

Despite how some feel about him, this is not good for anyone. Hope he is doing OK and condolences to him and his family.

Just two days to mourn and then return to work isn't much time at all. This speaks volumes for his dedication and commitment to the Miami Dolphins, and I truly thank him for that. My sincere condolences go to Joe Philbin and his family.

That's a shame. I wonder if he'll coach this weekend.

As I said when he lost his son, stuff like this transcends football and shows us how really unimportant it is in the big scheme of things.

My condolences.

The criticism was well deserved.
Reading a rah rah speech from a stack of 3x5 index cards?? Come on now.
If anything, the team was begging for something to rally around and the unfortunate passing of the Coach's father provided an opening.
We can only hope that the outpouring of emotion coupled with the Gatorade shower leads to something more consistent and permanent.
This team needs a little more swagger.

I got nothing against Philpin.

I did not like his timeout calls in the one game.

I would play for him as he is an honest straight shooter.
