It's normal, you should hear my brother (who's a huge Packers fan) bitch and moan about McCarthy and Rodgers.......I told him, I'll trade you Philbin and Tannehill
We are clearly underdogs this coming Sunday. Much like the Jags were underdogs to us--yet they put up a scrappy fight.
When comparisons are made between the Chargers and the Dolphins the edge clearly goes to the Chargers. Given the fact that Tannehill and Co. play only 30 minutes out of 60, usually in the second half, the Chargers may put up a 21-0 lead on us before we get to half time. If that's the case...get the fat lady ready to sing, because stopping the Chargers from scoring in the second half is still difficult and generating 3+ TDs to simply catch up is almost inconceivable. Even if the Dolphins were able to garner a couple of field goals in the first half, TDs are needed against the Chargers. I don't know how we are going to stymie Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates. Will it be throw and catch all game between them? Malcom Floyd is another go-to target as well. A very tough game ahead.
Statistically, Rivers has tossed 20 TD passes with only 5 intercepts this season (271 attempts). Tannehill has tossed 11 TD passes with 6 intercepts this season (247 attempts). (Figures from ESPN website).
Does Tannehill have to have the game of his life to overcome the Chargers offense? Which Dolphins team will show up, the meek and mild Dr. Jeykll or the monstrous and robust Mr. Hyde?

Iam hoping we can put up a better fight than the jags against us.

Depends on how well the Oline plays.
Oline plays well and they let tannehill out the pocket and run a few times then we will give them a scare.
Nobody has been able to figure out tannehill when he ran the ball so far. The miss directions are not an easy cover.
And tannehill has shown some speed as well he over ran a LB this week that was impressive.
That is a stupid move if true. With all the other needs we have, RB was not one of them. Miller has been doing great and they only run him 15 times a game. Just where are this guys carries suppose to come from? We don;t even run the ball.
We could have used a guard, TE or a WR WAY more than a RB.
Maybe they traded Dion Jordan for him. Bucs need pass rushers.

If it's true, and we got him at a bargain, then I love this move.
Joe, I agree with you that we have more serious needs but upgrades at those positions might not be available at this moment.
Martin is a terrific back on an horrific team. He's a better all around more instinctive back, than Miller.
If we added him for a mid/late round pick and/or a player we don't need then I'll me psyched.

I'm not so sure about Martin. He has one good year (2012) behind a pretty good line. He's been invisible for the last two years. It was the year when their young QB (Freeman) had a 4k yard/27 TD passing season. Now he just looks injury prone & a one year wonder.

Nice going Samsam, now Chyren will berate Philbin for years to come about the time he traded for an injured RB (pssst, the spinning, stick your tongue out face means i'm joking)

This did not happened but he will find another way to rant on philbin.
Even i could'nt take lightly that timeout against the packers.
Arizona calls a timeout with 0:01 left on the clock with Philadelphia having the ball on the Arizona 16. Is Arizona's coach a moron? No, because the Eagles didn't score. Philbin is only a moron because Green Bay scored. Any number of coaches would have and have done the same thing.
