Bummer. I usually take comp time and go to work later. Today its a full day for me.

He was recruited as a Tight End so I have to think he has skills. He is supposed to be a freak of nature athletically so why not? I believe mentally is his problem. He is in rehab so I hope he even plays after his suspension is up. But Tight end is more about blocking then catching , he is built for it. Worth a try , but I don't see Philbin having that kind of experimental savvy. With him its very neat , organized and pre packaged. Like his Index Card speeches.

Philbin and Coyle need to get Jordan in the rotation when he returns. Now that Shelby has been suspended, it would be a perfect time.

Dion Jordan, what do I make of him? Well, if you were to go to the store and buy a package of 60w light bulbs, and then went home and installed a few to replace those that were burned out and none of them lighted...that's similar to the value we got out of drafting him. Nothing. At least with the light bulbs you might be able to return them and get a refund. To bad we don't have a way to do that with him.

I'm not expecting much from him at this point.

We had a chance to recoup some of it by unloading him to Philly. I KNEW it was the right move . Oh well......

A lot of it is confidence building as well. Off the juice he won't have much of it. On top of that all.......guy was admitted to a facility for a few weeks . Add it all up.......he will be a bust for at least this season.

I would rather get nothing for him then trade the #3 overall pick less than 12 months later for a second rounder. I mean how dumb would that be?

Congrats you got your wish. Me? I would admit my mistake and move on. 2nd rounder is better then nothing. Next yes draft will prove it.

Trading him was a fart in the wind, it was never a real option, TCP keeps beating this drum, but the cap hit made this trade virtually impossible.

Maybe......But I am NOT happy about it, but I just knew he was gonna be a bust.I wanted to put him behind us in the worst way.For the team. Truthfully I never thought it would be a comet flaming star kind. I really thought he was gonna be decent . I mean the 3rd pick in the draft.......Look at his college experience, his build, his athleticism.....I thought he would be a solid player. NEVER a complete steroid taking /mental handicapped/ complete washout who contributing nothing.

The only time he showed promise is going toe to toe with other Tight ends. I'm really thinking , they should try him out at tightend , his old position. Or put him at weakside linebacker/safety. I don't know what else he can possibley be great at unless you want to settle for a very expensive 3 string DE.

To think of all of the other players in the entire NFL draft that this team could have grabbed instead at #3 is sickening.

yeah its disappointing. But to clarify.......although I was a big proponent of trading him for a 2nd rounder I'm not claiming to be a know it all. I NEVER thought he would be such a disappointment. It just never made sense to me when we have Cam Wake to go for such a reach at DE when we had so many other positions, especially the Oline lacking. WTF was Ireland thinking? Was he trying to deliberately screw us? Anyway I hope he makes just as a spectacular comeback and prove us all wrong. but its definitely not at DE.
