Okay, we had a new poster start a thread and called us bipolar for criticizing the team previously, while praising it for beating the Pats and now praising the team again.

So how do we interpret today's game.

A win is win however you slice it but, I'm not going out to buy SB tickets based on this particular win. So far we're an 8-8 team with a tough part of the schedule coming up.

ChyrenB--This is a good topic.

The Raiders are a mess. The up and down play we've seen the past 3 weeks illustrates that we were not confident in our game plans and approach to winning.

We faced a very disorganized team of Raider players. Injuries abound, and they played extremely poor.

For us, we realized that we were better than them. We saw immediately their confidence. The faster pace of the game showed confidence. We got into a rhythm because of it and that continued until the 4th Qtr; then we let them get up. I disagree with that approach. But that's another story.

I do think that if the Dolphins learned anything from this game it is that Tannehill must move around to make plays--to make things happen. Hopefully, after the bye-week, we can resume the intensity, energy, confidence and execution shown in the drubbing of the Raiders. It's always better to give than to receive. thumbs up

It's the raiders. We played a solid game overall. Still have issues but. If they can gets win streak going especially against Green Bay then we can talk.

Actually I was vote number 2. Also, please get it right. I didnt call this entire board bipolar, only the people who called for heads after week 3 while praising after week 1.

The upcoming game against the Packers will give a much better indication of whether this team has made any progress at all. Philbin's former team, he should know a thing or two to keep this game close, but the Packers have historically whipped us every 3 years.

I'm not satisfied with the Raiders victory, although it was a nice win-the facts are it was a west coast team traveling to Europe with a terrible coach and not a very good team on paper , no hunger , no inspiration.

Let's see if the Tannehill bandwagon takes off or gets a flat tire supplied by Aaron Rodgers and co.

tannehill played smart yesterday. he made plays with his feet when outside of the pocket.

mike Wallace commented that "he even ran today" as if it's up to tannehill to tuck it and run.

he needs to play loose like that the rest of the year.

lazor did a good job with misdirection plays. hopefully he'll keep it up too.

I believe we beat Green Bay the last time we met although Mathews was out.

That's the thing about this league. It doesn't matter who you play. Parity is as evident throughout the league as it has ever been.

The Pats lose to us. We get beat by the Bills...

There are just so many factors to consider in a win or loss.

The Packers have been beat by a couple pretty good teams but they were supposed to one of those elite teams. They have had their own struggles with inconsistency. For instance, everyone believed that Eddie Lacy was going to tear it up out of the gate and he has not done much. Lots of good teams are struggling this year...just like every year.

One game here or there isn't going to tell us much. I'm afraid we won't see the verdict until the end of the season. I am waiting to see a winning streak or two take place.

To me it doesn't matter who we play or beat as every team can beat any team on any given day.

Our losses were more due to our own shortcomings than anything the other teams did to us. If we execute, we can compete with almost anyone. We just need to get more consistent. I expected some growing pains with the new offense and new o-line.

Uni

I couldn't really say it in any better way than that.

If you think it doesn't mean anything to beat a team like Oakland, go ask the Steelers if they'd like to replay the Buxs game.

This win means absolutely nothing, except we can (finally) beat the worst team in pro football.

Now, here is the Fins' upcoming schedule:

Green Bay
Chicago
Jax
San Diego
Detroit
Buffalo
Denver

And that's not including the Jets, Balt, NE, and Minn in Dec.

EXTREMELY difficult schedule. The only "easy" game is vs Jax, but they gave SD a good game in the first half before wilting. Who knows what the Jets will be in December?

Bottom line - the only shot Miami has at a winning record is for RT and the rest of the team to play like they did against Oakland.

So only 19% of the board felt that the negativism on this board was unwarranted.

28%

So basically half the people thought we only won because we played a bad team BUT....

3 or 4 of those votes were probably the same guy. grinning smiley

Joe, when I posted it, it was 19% percent and then two new votes came in.

But I don't think it's from our well proven multiple identity poster because he would be the LAST to say that there is too much negativism about this team....unless he's complaining about the cheery time we had after crushing the Patriots.
