Starting Moore is an epic mistake. It's short sighted and it's an error in evaluating his skill set.
He's not more accurate on short and intermediate stuff which is the foundation of this offense.
As long as tannehill is here he starts and you hope it clicks for him late like it did for guys like brees, Alex Smith and rich Gannon. If you decide to pull the plug on the guy with the biggest, longterm upside then you don't want to replace him with a caretaker who will win just enough games to keep you from being able to draft an elite prospect this year.

As absolutely nauseating as this subject is, i.e., dealing with yet another flunked-out coitisback -- I have to agree with the general assertion; More Moore is not not the answer.
Thill is the ONLY hope we have (as slim as that may be) and trashing the kid now really seems more desperation than anything else.
Once we get rid of Ross, Phlimflam and pardon my Aponte, we'll have a clue as to what to do.

You mean the idea of the system? In theory? Because the system is not working. Granted we still need OG's and receivers to catch the ball.

I'm not sold yet. We have the same players with improvements on the o-line and we have dropped from 19.8 ppg to 19.3 from last year.

I would not place blame on any one person but if we can blame Philbin because he is in charge then we can blame Lazor when he has not gotten his offensive players to produce. He has proven exactly nothing yet. Thus far he has been worse than Sherman.
Now, maybe we don't get a fair assessment until the players start playing but he also holds responsibility for that as well. Not all of it but a portion. I do hold him responsible for trying to force the pass when the run game was the only thing working.
The only thing he has proven so far is that Chip Kelly was the offensive guru.
It is still on Philbin to identify and remedy the situations in all 3 phases. I'm not holding my breath.

I agree. Lazor is no different then Sherman. OR Was it really Philbin then calling the shots all along? The shotgun passes on 3 and 1!? The 48 yard field goal attempts on 4 and 2? Dumb dumb play calling either way.
We have a receiver trying to learn the most important position in football at the pro level.
Here's a tip. If your wrs aren't open within 3 seconds run for your life.
Here's another. If it's 2nd and 1 and there's 10 yards of clean real estate in front of you, get the first down don't chuck it deep and out of bounds.
Matt Moore is definitely not the long term answer but after 2 yrs and 3 games it appears hennehill isn't either. You can't teach instincts.
Again, $20mm and a hot wife. No one should feel sorry for him. It's about my viewing pleasure.
Mark Anthony and J Lo will get this shit turned around. They'll hire Denzel Washington (he was a head coach in a movie once) and he'll steer this ship in the right direction.

Fair enough, there's nothing to point to as proof this offense works or doesn't. But when it had a competent all around RB in Moreno it worked really well. There were a TON of big passing plays to be had with better passes and better hands.

Coaches can only put players in position to be successful. Players have to execute.
As for Philbin, he needed to go with Ireland.
It was silly to bring him back.

It's all guess work at this point. There isn't enough track record to prove anything.

Or that foles and McCoy are far superior to tannehill and Miller.

That's not going to happen. It's been clear for a year or more that Joe isn't a difference maker as a hc.
Matt More can not do any worse. At least he had moxie and shows emotion, also has pocket awareness. He also throws a more catchable ball and does not have the chronic batted passes Tannehill poses.
exactly!!!
Moore has done well (he was team MVP) the only year he got to start any.
He did well in carolina, but got concussion early the year he was named the starter and was injured most of the year.
3 year!!!! Tannehill has done nothing, not sure why some of you cannot see that.

And that proves what? Your such a dolt grasping at anything just throwing shit and hoping it sticks. How many Warners were there and how many hundreds moore like Matt? WRONG AGAIN. God you are stupid.
you try to make a point moore is bad cause he wasnt drafted. I make a point that neither was Warner and perhaps Moore should get a shot, and you cant comprehend the point even though you tried to make a similar one first.
LOL classic
Serious question for you. What exactly would it take or does it take for you to determine that Tannehill is not good?
