Interesting commentary coming from the phinsiders today... OJ Mcduffie said Wes Welkers injury is on Peyton Manning for leading him in double coverage across the middle in a preseason game.. Mcduffie said in a big game or crucial spot it is one thing, but to lead your WR in that much coverage in the middle of the field in a preseason game was just wrong...

OJ said he played the slot and Marino never did him wrong like that... Mcduffie said he is surprised no one has called Peyton out for getting his guy hurt like that in a preseason game... He says if it was a less famous QB, the guy would be getting lots of blame, but Peyton is getting a pass, when Mcduffie believes that injury is entirely on Manning...

I know we all have our own feelings about DJ Swearinger and what he did to Dustin Keller last year in a preseason game as well... But curious do you guys agree with Mcduffie?

Welker made a reputation and a career running precisely this type of pattern for Brady in New England.

It is a staple of HIS (and I mean Welker not Peyton's) existence.

To start assigning blame because Peyton was using the pre-season competition to get Welker into HIS (Welker's own) regular season FORM is silly to me.

we had an incident recently where in defensive tactics training someone was given a broken nose. One person yelled....WTF this is only training! The instructor yelled back......you train how you fight, your life could depend on it.

Exactly TCP. Welker put on the uniform and ran the play. He is not complaining.
