Good for him. I'm pulling for him. He's a meathead , but I think deep down he's as loyal as it gets and would kill for a friend. And truth be known......Miami could use him.
Screw Richie big douche bag that doesn't get it. He gets football but not leadrership, big roid douche. Our Oline is actually showing signs of gelling. It never gelled while that idiot was here. I watched all of the 49'ers games and guess what Martin looks good.
He has solidified himself at RT. Goes one on one w/ the D end, he cann't pull worth a damn but is effective on inside runs. I read where he has not allowed a sack and a qb pressure in the first 2 preseason games and did not see one last Sunday. We didn't need Richie to fight or kill but to be an effective leader. I wish we had sent his dumb *** buddy Pouncey w/ him.
Martin will most likely be relegated to backup once Anthony Davis returns from shoulder surgery. Davis is a very good RT who excels in pass pro and run blocking. From what I have seen/read, Martin has been pretty good in pass pro but not good in run blocking.
Glad to be rid of both so we can move on without the distractions.
Go ahead and throw John Jerry in that group as well.
Ja'Waun James has allowed 0 sacks, 0 hurries & 0 hits in 71 passing plays.

Don't believe everything the media force feeds you. This entire team backed Ritchie. 100% .That says something about him. The way Martin Handled everything shows what he is about. This is pre season. As soon as competitions heat up again Martin Will Crack like an egg.He always had the physical tools. Never the mentality.
If not for the media Ritchie would still be a dolphin.
I don't disagree about Incog...to a certain extent. He never should have been a leader. And he would still be a dolphin if not for a couple boneheaded voice mail messages. That's on him. Not the media.
Martin is in an environment that breeds success. Like at Stanford intelligence and hard work works under a coach like Harbaugh. Whitewashing scumbags like Richie and his cohorts and calling for honour and integrity like Philbn did results in exactly what we got.
Yep if we had believed what the MIA press was feeding us on Incog we would have believed he was a solid gentlemen and world class leader.
As I said before Incog got kicked out of Nebraska, Orgon, St Louis Buffalo did not bother to resign him after one year. Dude has issues. We don't need him.
Jerry looks like he added on 20 lbs that he could ill afford. If he locked onto his man he could at least overpower him. Watching him Saturday night he looked like a slug. Looked like he was struggling to get 2 feet off the line. He probably can stick a fork in his career its done. Still wish we had traded Pouncey too.

Fine by me. Can't wait to face him. He's not all that as a pass blocker. Plus the endless questions about bullygate and its aftermath will make Belechick's pressers all that much more interesting.

That would suck. He has a lot to prove and the mental edge on them.

If Miami had brought him back I doubt they would be in such dire straights trying to find two serviceable guards.
I have issues w/ the way our oline stunk while we had a bunch of jerks on it. Now we have guys who are proffessional and who consider the game of football important we now see signs of improvement.
Hell yeah I had issues w/ our &*#^@ing oline the past 3 years.

Fair enough . But it's unfair to entirely blame that on Ritchie. He's probably a good reason Tannehill still passed for 4000 yds despite 58 sacks.
John Jerry, 1028 snaps, 5 sacks allowed (and he is supposed to be a good pass blocker)
Richie, 472 snaps, 6 sacks allowed
Pouncey, 908 snaps, 2 sacks
Martin, 458 snaps, 7 sacks
Clabo, 962 snaps, 11 sacks (last 7 wks of season = 1 sack)
McKinnie, 664 snaps, 7 sacks
I'm not sure I would give credit to any of these guys (other than Pouncey) for Tannehill's production. They could have put tackling dummies in front of him and gotten similar results.
Jerry and Richie were among the 10 worst guards in sacks allowed and Richie only played half the season.
By way of comparison, Daryn Colledge gave up 2 sacks in 1050 snaps.

You are a big stats guy. That's cool.it's all part of the game. But I wouldn't live and die by them either. Each snap is a different animal.
For ex: QB can have 3 interceptions. Doesn't say if a receiver screwed it up.
Stats are cool. But anybody can quote them. It's like taking a math test with a calculator. Hell even Jay fielder had some decent stats.didn't tell the whole story.
Relax Bro. Stats are a great part of the game. But some mean less then others. Yeah I know I said Tanny threw for almost 4000 Yds. But That's an important stat because he was also sacked 58 times. His ability to keep fighting , keep brushing himself off , and be professional and never point a finger just said a lot about his character during a brutal season of distractions and underachieving players. But a lot of the other stats , the rushes , the sacks allowed, that can't be thrown on a lineman alone. Those don't tell the whole story , too many other factors . Ritchie played with this group of guys he would be very effective.
Before you go rushing to your stat page to copy and paste some more , remember how many great undrafted players we have , Grimes , Wake , and this new kid McCain! Holy shit. Fede , no one saw him coming in the 7th round! Stats and draft pedigree (Dion Jordon ) does not tell the whole tale.
Ok so based on that theory, passing yards are more important because they aren't affected by other players....So a ball 40 yards in the air is the same as a dump off to a running back whop runs for 40 yards. Got it.

Huh? Man you must be short because that went right over your head.........All I'm saying is stats don't tell the whole story. Look at Laundry's 40 times at the Draft Combine. A number of receivers had way faster times that accounted to nothing. Dion Jordon had Stats coming out of his ass.......I won't count him out yet , but he has been anything but impressive.
Ritchie Incognito was rarely injured, he had the respect of his teammates , and the staff before the press rail roaded him out of the NFL. More to the story then just some numbers saying he allowed sacks and rushes. Yeah the numbers are valid, but showing them as concrete proof of ones ability is very inaccurate.

I wouldn't call what Incognito had "respect". "tolerance", maybe, but not "respect".

Not 1, not 1 , teammate had a bad thing to say about Ritchie. Many even went out on a limb for him. Listen , love him or hate him , all I'm saying is the stats from last year do not reflect his ability 100%. I see that as the case more often then not.
You see this when many people leave the Dolphins and flourish elsewhere. Just sayin.........
