But I stand behind my decision at the time. We needed a QB not a injury prone RB with sticky fingers like Thomas. Until we got our starting franchise QB we needed to keep hitting it with competent 1st and 2nd round drafts and then build a Team around him.
I'm so glad we Got Tannehill. he was the better pick over RGIII . I even saw Luck throw a few INT's the other night. He's very good, but he's not exactly Lighting up scoreboards of late.
But I believe what I said at the time was that he had an elite skill set and that the off the field stuff was concerning. That if he passed the sniff test in interviews and during the background check that he should be a top 10 pick. If he doesn't, I wouldn't have him on my draft board.
It's tough sitting behind a 1st ballot HOF qb. There's certainly no evidence to suggest he's a good qb, but there really Isn't enough evidence to say he's a turd yet, is there?
Of course, we didn't pass on Ryan Mallett to take Tannehill because they were different years so it's kinda weird to argue between the two.
We did pass on him to take Daniel Thomas, the Lebanese. I still have not seen enough from Daniel Thomas to think he was worth it.
Mallett has proved zero so far but I'll bet Thomas will find it hard to even stay on our roster. Did you see those two kids play a couple of days ago??????? Not to mention Knowshon.

To be honest, I'm not putting much stock into anything that is going on right now, as it is only preseason.
