This team does not need the distraction of the Tebow media craze after all that has happened. No way in hell would anyone in the FO want to go through that.
We are under the radar right now (as well as underestimated) and I'm sure they love that.
Devlin is injured and was placed on the waived/injured list with a hamstring issue. If he clears he can go on IR.
He threw 3 touchdowns passes and 3 interceptions four PS games.
Devlin has no arm strength.....zero, it's amazing he made it this long, good kid.....but I repeat, no arm strength. (that little black dot after the h, stands for PERIOD!)
No doubting you guys but I just never got to see one way or the other. Maybe I missed opportunities to see but never saw bottom line. Just wanted to see and never did.

Exactly right Joe.
Tebow isn't just a horrific fit for this offense (no accuracy, horrible/long throwing motion), he a mobile circus that we just don't need.
There's more than one reason he's not on an NFL roster right now. The first is the ungodly media attention he brings with him. The other is that he's not an NFL QB. If you designed an offense around him, where you spread things out, ran the wild cat and let him run and throw deep all the time it might work out to some small degree for a little bit. But who runs an offense like that at this level?
Nobody.
Bringing Tebow in here would be an EPIC disaster and failure.

I like it also.

Devlin is no loss.
We are only going to carry 2 QB's anyway. I'm sure well be looking for someone to sign to the practice squad.
Tell you one thing , I'm not saying To sign Tbow , but I was there when Denver came back and beat us Tbow style. I witnessed thousands of Dolphins fans rooting for Tbow. Gator fans blood runs deep here. Just having him on the roster in any capacity would fill seats. That said I'm a fan of the fighting Irish as well!. GO Rudy!

I am truly amazed at how many people, both professional and fans, are so down on Tebow. Why...what in the world has he done for so much negativity? I have seen a lot worse QBs in the NFL (than Tebow) that have stuck on teams for quite a while. Is Tebow a really good QB? No, but he is a winner, both college and pro. Would it really hurt for any team to have him on their team, not necessarily as a starter, but someone who could go into the game and provide a spark?
Would it have hurt for the Miami brass to call him and give him a tryout?

Has anyone really looked at him since he has been (supposedly) refining his skills with a "trainer?"

No. But if he thought he was going to play anytime soon, why did he sign on as an ESPN College Analyst?
>
> Again, what would it hurt to give him a tryout?
It hurts a TON.
1) He's a travelling circus. 24/7 national media exposure on what he has for breakfast, when he shits, how many snaps he takes in practice, etc etc.
2) His game isn't suited for this (or any) pro system. We'd have to develop a 2nd playbook to use if he gets on the field.
3) After every single incompletion or interception in practice there will be Tebow acolytes and media types asking "when's he gonna get his shot?" If you think dolphin is annoying with his anti Tannehill BS then get ready for that 10,000 fold.
4) He sucks. If he was any good, or thought that he could play in this league he'd be in Canada right now playing and refining his game. He's not. He took a cushy analyst job instead.
This team went through the media blitz of all media blitzes last year with the Martin/Incognito disaster. Do you really think its a good thing to put them through that wringer 6 months later for a potential back up QB who can't play in your system and would require an entirely different offense to run if he ever got on the field?

Fair point.
But you knew his qb days were over after he turned down the chance to play qb in Canada this year.
Sorry guys, nothing against T-bow, but I am completely content not having him on our team in any capacity, every RT-17 incompletion there would be fan boys screaming to give him a chance. And by all accounts, he has zero desire to be anything other then a QB in the NFL......good luck with your next career son.......
