Has the Hottest wife in the League. No off the field issues. He Is shaping up to be a great leader in the locker room and in the community. With the right coaching and off season moves can be a dominant player in the NFL.

Well Treasure, he must be dominant this year; this is his year to prove he belongs. If he plays well but still can't get the Fins to above .500 or even sniff the playoffs, I don't have much faith that the Fins' FO will continue to believe in him.
If he doesn't get the job done, look for the Fins to once again grab a QB in the early rounds next draft.

I agree Cap.
Its put up or shut up time for RT. He's shown a lot of what you want to see in a young QB. He's also shown warts. The issue whether those warts were more a result of his deficiencies or of those around him (lack of WR's 1st year, no o-line year two, awful OC both years).
I think we answer that question this year. If the answer is just more of the same, then we will be looking for an upgrade at QB in next years draft.
Oddly enough, I think Hickey and Philbin will have as much to with Tannehill's future in Miami as Ryan himself, in the sense that he cannot do it by himself. He can be a great QB but if anyone is expecting him to carry the entire offense (as he did last year), they will be disappointed. At least it was not possible in that vanilla and ridiculously predictable offense. Maybe he will thrive in the new spread type, running offense.
Hickey's work is 98% complete for this season. He has added his own pieces to the puzzle. Whether or not he has chosen the right pieces remains to be seen. I would still like to see him add another player on the line to offset Pouncey's injury status. That being said, I like most of what he has done. The o-line will be huge if they can perform. As much as this type of offense is labeled as a "spread", it will rely on an effective running game.
Now, can Joe Philbin grow into a head coach that can offer the leadership needed to produce in all phases of the game? That's the question IMO. He has gotten rid of antiquated old school mentor so he is going in the right direction.
I have seen enough from Tannehill to believe he can be an effective winning QB. He is just not ready to do it alone. Marino tried that approach. It didn't win Miami any trophies. Elway had LOTS of help, Brady had help. Tom Brady threw for only 2843 yards, 18 TD's and 12 int's in his second year (after a year on the bench). He won a SB with those numbers. That right there should show you that he did not do it alone. He did not will the Patriots to the SB. He had some HOF and All pro type players surrounding him.
You are all probably right that this is his last chance to prove himself but what if the team around him folds and he cannot perform up to standard? Philbin is definitely gone. Hickey will be as well unless his draft picks perform at a high level. Tannehill may suffer for the end result but I guarantee you he will be starting for another team if not Miami.
That would be a mistake in a baby/bathwater scenario. Unless he totally stinks it up this year which I don't see happening.

The man got it done as far as I'm concerned. Sack after sack he never bitched or complained once. Even after two starters left and all the distractions last season. Still put up better numbers then any QB since Marino. You shouldn't have anything BUT faith brother!
but what I saw of the Oline this morning shows The offense still has a way to go......

i was a huge fan of that chick who was dating that scrub TE who never made the team on Hard Knocks. Don't recall his name or hers, but she was sumoking.

Treasure, your last sentence is what I am talking about. If these guys can't protect RT or open holes for the running game, RT's numbers may look good, but he is still going to be unable to get this team over the hump.
If that happens, that could be the end of Philbin and possibly Dickey, which in turn brings in new management, which in turn brings about change, and more often than not, that means a new QB.
I agree with ya, I am very please with what RT has done, thus far, except for the long ones to Wallace. Yeah, much blame goes to the OL, but RT also had problems in that area even with good protection.
Sure, I know some of the reasons that came out to "justify" that, one of them being Sherman rarely practicing the long ball. I don't see Lazor being afraid to go long a few occasions during every game, but from what I have been reading, RT is still having trouble connecting.
RT has to fix that ASAP if this team is to get anywhere.
Seeing what he has acomplished with no Help will surely please anyone worth a ***! That they bring in . It's extremely hard to find a new QB as we all know. No one would let him go until they see what he can do behind a competent line.

Treasure, reading the reports about the Dolphins' practices, RT seems to be having a hard time picking up the new offense. He has been very inconsistent; one brilliant play, then a "what the hell was that?" play. It's early, so there's always hope, but...
JuWan James has also been getting beaten on a regular basis. Granted, this is a rookie going against All Pro C. Wake, but he is gonna have to get his act together pretty quick, or this will also be another wasted pick. Hopefully Wake can help him.
As usual, our OLine is key. They have to get it together for the Fins to get anywhere this year. They fail, the Fins fail.

You know what a big fan I am of Ryan. That said everything you said is true. But it was the very first day. but the Offense was getting beat.....either they suck or we have one of the best defense in the league right now.
I will reframe judgment until preseason games. But they have a lot of work to do.
I've seen nothing to suggest or imply that RT has had problems with the mental part of the game or picking up the offense.
It's way too early in TC to make that assessment based on a few missed passes or int's. This happens to every QB every year. Especially ones learning a new system for the first time in 5 years.
Reports were better as of late as RT has been hitting deep ball after deep ball and throwing bullet completions.
Defense is always ahead of the offense in camp. We have a vet defense playing in the same system and new players and rookies on the offensive line.

Not to answer for anyone but our defense only offers potential at this point. Like Cam Wake said last week...until you get in a game and slap somebody upside the head, you haven't done anything yet.
I think our DB's may be a strength this year. Grimes, of course and Jamar Taylor emerging as an up and coming young CB. He is currently working with first team ahead of Finnegan. Most likely to get him needed reps and save the legs of an again vet CB at the same time. Would not be surprised for Taylor to win the job.
Delmas offers play making ability at FS and he will get competition from young players like Walt Aiken, Jimmy Wilson, Don Jones, etc.
I think we have pretty good depth for a team void of it in 2013.
I think Vernon continues to develop and Jordan will be making plays in week 6 vs GB and Aaron Rodgers.
Only hope at this point for our LB'ers to get more comfortable in year two. Anxious to see them at new spots as well as the competition from the younger players like Jenkins and Tripp as well as dark horse, Andrew Wilson.
Top 10 unit by week 8 is very hopeful but not impossible. We were #8 last year in points allowed but would be higher if not for LB'er play and injuries in the secondary as well as on the d-line.

#Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is not having his best day. He's thrown two pick sixes to CBs Will Davis and Cortland Finnegan.

#Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill throws his third interception of the day, this time to S Reshad Jones. Rough day for MIA's starting QB.
