Watched him play at Georgia reminds me of smaller version of Gronk by only a little. He is 6ft 5in 260 lbs and can run around 4.7. Pair him with Clay, and they will be quite a receiving duo. The best this team has had since before Keller had his knee blown out last year. I wanted this team to pick him and they did it's about time.
No having watched Georgia last year Lynch is a good blocker has good hands, and decent speed. Also the kid is smart, and was a team leader that can't hurt this team in those regards. 1st team all SEC what else needs too be said.
Average quickness off the line. Pedestrian foot speed. Tight hips. Unsudden -- cannot separate. Shaky hands (too many drops). Needs to improve his route running. Straight-linish after the catch. Thinks he's better than he is. Will be a 24-year-old rookie.
I like this pick but just one thing.....In every video ive seen he doenst seem to get away from the defender.
He has a knack for making the spectacular catch though...With the defender on his face........but i dont see him getting much separation..... maybe there are other videos where he does get separtation.
Lynch played against SEC talent, and was 1st team all SEC in 2013. I don't understand how he can't separate when clearly he outplayed every other tight end in the SEC last year. I don't get the hate of all of our draft picks. Hickey can't do worse than Fireland.

It worried me a bit when i saw the video. He didnt get separation in any of the plays. And college is a much slower game than the pros.
