We should consider trading down with the niners who have 6 of the top 100 picks and don't have room to sign them all. We could load up with smart choices by dropping down and picking up maybe 30, 61 & 77 or 94? We would have a first , 2 seconds, and two thirds, and have 5 of the top 100 picks
sure but why would they trade up to 19 in a draft where there is ton of talent in the 2d and 3d? if anyone is going to trade up to 19 it would be for a QB who fell like Manzeill or Teddy B. SF doesn't need that. I think is SF traded up it would be way up to the top 5 to get a guy like Watkins

First off Johnny Football will never get passed the Jets.
Otherwise I'd trade down with the niners in a heartbeat. But someone in their position will be looking to move higher and get more value then 19. 19 is a shitty spot. Someone really special would have to fall and line us up. Crazier things have happened. If Hickey was approached he would be nuts not to do it.
They have lost quite a few DB and could move up for a top CB or Safety. may have to replace Aldon Smith. Also last I heard they don't have the cap room to sign all the picks. Maybe we also trade them Wake for Chief's second? By the time we get it together he will be done, but maybe they couldn't handle this cap wise
Its not impossible that San Fran could look to consolidate some of its picks to move up for a player they covet, but they don't have to. They could just as easily trade them for picks next year.
I think its far more likely that if we trade down its going to be with a team at the top of round 2 who passed on a QB early and wants a QB that is slipping.
I think that QB would have to be Teddy Bridgewater because Bortles is a top 10 pick and Manziel isn't going to slip past Dallas at 16.
I'd love to add more picks in this draft. I just don't see it happening. Hopefully I get surprised.

I agree.....either way he never falls to 19 like some drafts state. That's laughable.

I remember it well and, at the time, screamed about it well. In fact, this was even worse than the Drew Brees fiasco because at least we had a chance at Drew and passed.
With Moss, stupidly as usual, we just assumed he would not be there although all the "head case" type of rumors were swirling around him and he had already dropped out of the top ten.
6. I think one of the big spots in this draft is No. 19. The Dolphins don’t have a tackle at 19 they love, and at No. 20 sits Derek Carr-smitten Arizona. Teams behind Arizona know they have to move up to at least No. 19 if they want a shot at Carr. I am sure new Miami GM Dennis Hickey is getting some calls about the pick, and if I were him, I’d sell.
