In a draft with big questions at QB....if the draft falls like this.....????

1 Hou: Bortles
2 STL: Mathews
3 Jax: Clowney
4 Cle: Watkins
5 Oak: Robinson
6 Atl:Lewan
7 TB: Evans
8 MN: Barr
9 Buf: Ebron
10 Det: Dennard
11 Ten: Mack
12 NYG: Donald
13 Stl: Gilbert
14 Chi: Pryor
15 Pit: Beckham Jr
16 Dal: Clinton-Dix
17 Bal: Zach Martin
18 NYJ: Kyle Fuller

These are all the top players. our only option is a trade down with one of the QB needy teams....

Cleveland:
Jacksonville:
Minnesota:

Another variable is if Tennessee decides to go after a QB...

So...who would you pick or what group of players would you target in a trade down?

What would I do? Can't say...would depend on who is there at 19 along with what another team would offer me to trade back.

It is a strong possibility that an immediate starter would (probably) not be there at 19, so trading back would be the way to go.

If those were the first 17 picks and the jets went wr at 18, I'd auction off manziel to the highest bidder.

If there were no takers then I'd draft cj mosley or Ryan shazier.

Take best Pick available. Johnny Football and give him to the highest bidder...........Except the Jets. They don't have enough Draft picks .

Hell...I'd keep Johnny Football, trade Matt Moore, and if Tanny can't get the deep pass going this season I'd plug Johnny in.

yes. This makes sense because our greatest need is QB. heck why don't we just add another DE to the Litter? lets trade up for Clowney* while we are at it. eye rolling smiley

* = Sarcastic

Grabbing him for a Team that wants it badly though is smart and ballsy. If Johnny is there at 17 we make the deal.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

drafting for need in the first round cost us clay Mathews and luke keuchly.

we reached for vonta davis and tannehill instead.

we could have moved back into the end of the first round for tannehill and davis probably would have been there later in the 2nd.

did I mention we needed a cb and took jamar fletcher instead of drew brees?

LOL. If we didn't grab Tanny when we did we would still be ass scratching from the Hemoroids caused by watching him excel elsewhere. Tanny was not a reach in any way shape or form. Dion Jordon? I think they named a tooth brush after him.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

dafuq? tannehill wouldn't have lasted past #12, and davis fell to us where we took him, he was supposed to go higher

Tannehill was a reach as was Christian Ponder. I expect us to take a QB to push him as if in his third year he shows the same pocket presence and deep ball limitations it may be time to move on. When has a guy with like 18 games college experience been a successful NFL QB?

All players are drafted on potential because NO ONE knows how they will perform in the NFL. One teams reach is another's wet dream. If you don't have a QB and you have a chance to draft a potential franchise QB. You draft a QB. It's pretty simple.

There were probably a dozen teams right now without a QB that wish they could go back and "reach" for Tannehill. He would be the number 1 overall pick if he came out this year.

I can't remember a similar situation where a QB was earned a starting job (and steadily improved) after surpassing the road blocks than RT has passed.

1. Less than 20 college starts
2. NO WR's and a below average offensive line in rookie year
3. The worst offensive line in the NFL the next year.
4. An stubborn, incompetent OC who refused to learn from mistakes
5. off field distractions like never before in the NFL
6. incompetent GM who trades up to #3 for an injured player over a much needed LT after ignoring (as well as sabotaging=trading Brandon Marshall) WR the year before.

(I still find it amazing that Miami got more bad press because of a cry baby football player than a team who harbored a thug/multi-murderer) #pussifactionofamerica

RT may have been a pick of desperation but it was the best move Jeff Ireland ever made.

If you are drafting a MLB over a potential franchise QB then you are not long a GM. Besides, we had Karlos Dansby in 2012. That would have been like drafting a DE when you already have Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon....oh wait...

That's kind of like saying Sammy Baugh is a better QB than Dan Marino. Sure he was good in his era but he couldn't even make a college team today.
