WTF are you talking about? Did those guys impact the league to a Hall of Fame level? Did Tillman? Common sense would have told you the intent of my post.
10-4 Sam. God Bless America. The NFL is just a business filled with over inflated egos and cry baby Millionaires. Pat Tillman is so far above them all he has his own atmosphere.

did you serve in the military sam? with your attitude I'd assume you and your entire family did or are planning to? or do we want a hall of fame to the military so that those who don't serve can feel better about not doing so?
seems to me that those guys on the board who actually served are the ones who "get" that pat tillman should not be in the pro football HOF, and those who did not are all gung ho about putting him in there.

That's because everyone who serves doesn't "WANT" recognition . That's inbreed in basic from the beginning. To serve your country un selfishly be prepared to give the ultimate sacrifice, go out like a warrior. Medals are something given and never asked for. But to be honest this Museum isn't for those that were enlisted. Its for all those that need to be inspired . Too many kids look at the NFL as a place to get RICH. Drive 6-7 fancy cars, Bling Bling up the Wazzoo. That's why so many NFL players end up broke before 50.
A Sacrifice like Tillman's would be awesome for people of all kinds to read about and see its not just about "Show me the Money". Darell revis is the biggest Piece of shit in my book. That guy signed a contract did not honor it and sat out twice demanding more and more money until his team had no choice but to release him.
Of Course Pat Tillman wouldn't want to be personally honored. He wasn't in it for EGO. But those in charge need to share his story of personal sacrifice , show what he gave up for his country and honor. The man had options. Fame and fortune , or Afghanistan. Incredible.
We've had a pretty bad month or so here in L.A. We started by losing a motorcycle officer to some kid coming down a hill in a residential area and speeding and slamming into him. That happened about a month ago.
Then we lost another motorcycle officer about a week ago when some accident happened and the driver crossed into upcoming traffic on the freeway and wiped out another motorcycle officer.
Then yesterday another LAPD motorcycle officer was killed, again when his bike was stationery, and a uniformed officer died the same day of a heart attack.

I don't know any Cops or Firemen who choose the profession over a NFL career. We do have a cop who was actually signed by the Dolphins back in the early 80's. But he didn't pass the physical because he gave his twin brother a kidney . Pretty special but not in the same way as Tillman.
