Gruden had good things to say about him even after just coming of ACl . Need to trade Moore and get a 3rd or 4th and snag him

How high would you go in drafting him.

Depth is fine, but its on the back burner for me right now. We need to improve Pass Blocking/establish a run so our passing game can improve . Get a linebacker to pressure other Teams.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

if QB can't throw the deep ball nor show better pocket awareness even the best OL won't help

I would take him. He is already better at throwing the deep ball then Tannehill.

I really don't get the criticism on Tannehill.

The guy threw as well as any QB in the league could have with the blocking he got.

THE FO knew that and spent the draft pick on Dion. I hope Dion pans out in the long run, but we screwed up in not addressing the oL last year.

It wasn't a QB problem!

What was the excuse the year before and in his college career? He cant throw the deepball; anywhere ever.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
PFF ranks him as one of the best deep throwing QB's in the league. Yes, his % to Wallace is not very good, but his deep ball to the other WR's is pretty phenomenal.

Your hyperbole reflects ignorant hate for a 2nd year player who has developed into the best QB the Dolphins have had since Marino.

A mid round QB, 5th months removed from an ACL injury to replace Tannehill?

He couldn't replace Moore this year let alone Tannehill.

In fairness, he's only a mid-round pick because of the injury. He's a second round guy who could've worked his way into the 1st with a good combine, pre-pay, etc.

Mayock said Murray is one of two qb' s in this draft ready to start year one.

NO more injured players please.

We need contributors this year, not next.

Mayock also has Mettenberger going in the 2nd round. He also tore his ACL.

I heard Mayock say Murray knows how to play the position better than just about any other QB in the draft.

That doesn't say that he can do it in the NFL. Mayock also questioned his arm strength and his size. (6 ft, 208 lbs)

and before anyone goes there....Drew Brees and Russell Wilson don't come along every year.

He may be a great QB someday but we need too many other positions to spend a 3rd round pick on a QB.

We are talking about a back up QB taken late in the draft. We don't run a wishbone, so its really not worth getting upset about a knee injury. They don't throw with their feet. smiling smiley

Murray can play. He's going to get a chance eventually to start in this league for somebody, probably in a west coast system.

I'd have no issues with drafting him in the 5th, 6th , 7th to replace Moore and maybe push RT.

6th round is fine but he is projected to go in the 3rd according to Mayock.

this is why PFF stats suck. I don't care what some convoluted formula says, I saw RT way over throw and under throw Wallace and others at least 10 times in his career, passes I almost never see any other NFL QB miss even once. Even his longest pass, the 80 yard bomb to Harline his rookie year vs AZ, was off line and only the fact that Hartline was so open he could come back for it caused it to be a TD. Not saying RT cannot improve at this (though this would seem to be a skill you either have or you don't) but any stat that says RT is good at throwing a deep ball is just garbage.

PFF DOES NOT rank Tannehill as one of the best deep throwers. He was ranked 17th out of the qualifying 21 players.

He was however ranked pretty high in a category where they account for good plays vs bad or average plays...meaning he is good overall but still has a few areas that need work.

You can say PFF sucks but you can't use a misquoted stat as the basis.
