If Marino was involved with our team when Manning was cut... Manning would have given us a lot more respect as a legitimate suitor... Instead we were pretty much blown off by Manning... Marino brings that as well to our franchise if we were to hire him...

MMMMMM .....I hear what your saying Crowder. But manning wasn't coming here with Ireland here. No way hos'e. But he is a special example.
He wants to win NOW. Marino would be good for attracting some players. But shit needs to change here if and when he gets here. If we start winning and he can get credit for bringing a successful attitude change maybe, but if its the same old same old, then people will just view him as a joke. I"D LOVE to see him get a ring with us in the near future. That would make my decade.

Marino showed brief flashes of QB coaching ability when he mentored Damon Huard during Marino's final year. Dan had a nerve injury in his neck or back that affected his throwing so he coached Damon a bit from the sidelines. That doesn't necessarily mean he'd be a great QB coach this many years later, but I just thought I'd throw that out there.

He's probably trying to get another broadcasting gig, but if that doesn't happen I can definitely see him in a high-visibility position. Maybe back at his alma mater in Pitt even.

I don't see Dan coaching. I remember a quote from one of his backup QB's. Forget which one , but he asked Dan how to throw a particular pass. Dan replied, "Just throw the ball to his right ear hole of his helmet."

The backup was like, "well if I had that ability I would not have to ask."

LOL.. I could see that. Just get rid of the ball fast. And accurate. To the right receiver . Its easy. Just do that and you will be fine. LOL...........
