I wouldn't mind unloading a few players like Moore or even Jordon for Draft Picks. We have 6. 10 would be better after last years debacle. Not a Starter in the bunch.
Seems like they are still high on Devlin so maybe Moore will be traded, martin hopefully will bring us something.
I would move Wake before Jordan unless we really feel Jordan was a mistake. If Bennett signs somewhere else Seattle would likely give us decent compensation for Wake. By the time we get it together(assuming we do!) Wake will be too old
Moving Wake would be really risky. That guy is a Stud. Certified Pro Bowler. You just don't move players like that because they don't come around often.

If you put Wake on the market you'd get a lot more interest than just Seattle.
He's the one chip we have to trade who will bring a big return and who is at the point in his career where he's going to begin to decline soon so we would be getting out of his contract at the right time.
I don't think we need to trade him, but he's the guy to move if we need more picks.
We should trade Matt Moore, and Daniel Thomas for whatever we can get for them. Devlin should be the back up QB, and we should go into the season with Miller, Gillislee, and Thigpen at RB. To fill the third QB position we should draft a developmental player in the fifth round.
There is no way I'd trade Jordan, Wake, or Vernon this year. Our pass rush isn't good enough even with these guys so making it worse is not a good idea.
Jordan should replace Misi at OLB in the starting lineup. This gives us one of the fastest LB groups in the NFL and gets Jordan on the field at the same time as Wake and Vernon giving us a lot of flexability in rushing the passer.

If we go into the season with Miller, Gillislee and Thigpen as our RB's we are in trouble.

Not so sure I would trade Wake, unless the coaching staff feels strongly that Jordan is ready to take over, and by the looks of what they did with him last season, that probably isn't the case.
IMO, Miami still has another good three or four years from Wake.
Miami will have to get extremely lucky to get anything at all for Martin, but like I mentioned in an earlier post, if any team offers a 7th rounder for him...TAKE IT! Take anything we can get.
As for Moore, maybe a fifth rounder, but more than likely it would be a 6th. But, I don't think anything would happen with Moore until sometime during the season when QBs start dropping.

You could have said the same about Vernon after last year...that he didn't look like a player.
Jordan will be fine.
If he adds 15-20 lbs he'll be a star DE.

He's 32.
How many 34 year old DE's do you see dominating the league Cap? Let alone one that is 35 or 36.
If you are ever going to trade him, now is the time.

RE: Not if we give then effective blocking and actual holes to run through...JMO.

That's a fair point Ken.
But none of those guys can pass block worth a cap. And none of them has shown anything as a short yardage/goal line back either.
I think that we need to add a RB who can fill both of those rolls, even if that means parting ways with Thigpen or gillislee.
I'd create that roster spot by trading Thomas...even if we had to take a fifth or sixth round pick for him.
I'm not opposed to taking a late round RB but I wouldn't take one before the fifth round and then I'd have to balance that with taking a developmental QB.
It all comes down to that fact that I think we have bigger fish to fry this offseason than getting RB that we don't know we actually need.
Now if we could pick up a Blount type guy on the cheap just for short yardage work I'd be all for it.
Sam, I agree but I've seen flashes from Miller and Gillislee as well. I like that Gillislee seems to be decisive, hits the designated hole hard, has some nice shiftiness, and seems to have good initial acceleration.
The deciding factor for me is that they are both younger, and more verstile in what they can do...they just have more upside to me.

The teams picking 1 and 2 (Hou & STL) in the draft have signed.....NOBODY.
Doesn't give much insight into how they will affect the draft. What they do will have a domino effect on the entire draft and there is no clear consensus #1.
KC has also been inactive during FA.
Will Houston take a QB or ??? Clowney
Rams trade down again? Select a LT when they have to play Jake?
