This could also be an agent created smoke screen to try to get a good buzz going about Martin......either way, if we can get a few used jock straps for him, i'd be happy!
Actually it's based from Andrew Luck's comments that he would be 100% behind Martin coming to Indy. Nothing more. They do have 17 unrestricted FA's. Problem is they have two pretty good tackles and just need guards and a center.

If the Colts offered a 7th rounder, I would take it immediately.

I certainly wouldn't be playing hardball with anyone willing to give up anything for him......unless they wanted us to pay THEM for taking him off our hands, I'd say yes.
Martin is done. No one wants him. Sanford QB trying to help out a bro. FAIL. I don't enjoy seeing sick people suffer, but Martin is not really sick, he is just a coward and a loser.
I was saying don't just release him because he wants to be able to sign with anyone. Trade him, or hold on to him and mothball him another year versus just releasing him. he signed the contract

Martin is not done; this is the NFL, where if you have talent, someone will sign you.
Martin can play both tackle positions and he isn't BAD (not good either, but he can be a valuable backup).
I am sure there will be more than one team that goes after him, but as I said, hopefully at least one of them will offer something for him so they don't have to compete against any other team that wants him.
This is a PR nightmare. No way they hang on to him just to spite him. The sooner he is gone the sooner they will stop talking about Miami is a negative light.

Unless his intent all along was just to help Martin go "some"where even if not the Colts and therefore he's not hurting the Colts at all necessarily because he doesn't care if Martin comes to the Colts as long as Martin goes somewhere and Martin's career is not over like everyone thought when this first broke.
I'd hold on to him no matter what...I'd eat his slary and sit him on the bench. He'd be allowed to practice, participate in all team activities, and sit quietly while WATCHING the games every week.

The guys do not want him back on the team. If the Miami brass did what you are suggesting, then it would be a dysfunctional team as they would be walking around on pins and needles and looking over their shoulders every second.
Martin is just not worth the trouble.
Besides, he doesn't want to return to the Dolphins.
I don't care what Martin wants and it would not hurt the team at all. He's under contract so there is no major cap hit involved...I'd simply want him there so he'd have to work his butt off every day and then not get to play. If he refused to do something or didn't show up he'd be fined. The players and coaches don't have to interact with him except on a professional basis so there wouldn't be any looking over the shoulder.
Sorry Ken, but I have to respectfully tell you that your idea is right up there with parachute pants and Milli Vanilli as one of the all time bad ideas. That would only cause a distraction as well as possible dissension on the team, and could lead to more possible harrasment/unsafe work place type complaints and lawsuits.
Like I said before, keep him until the draft to see if anyone gets desperate and offers us ANYTHING for him, if no takers.....then cut bait. End of story!
Miami should and will kiss Martin's a$$ and do everything they can to accommodate him and get him to a new team, even at a perceived loss to the Dolphins.
Yes, its the Dolphins team, but this is an NFL issue as well. The national media will be watching how this is handled via microscope. The league image is on the line as well.

Besides the problems that could develop with the team, the Players Association needs to be considered, also. It would be all over the fins for that.
