It's not time to panic. Harvey at the Sun Sentinel is freaking out because of the T.O. move saying we need a shutdown corner. First of all, there's no such thing as a shutdown corner. These receivers are talented and they're going to catch their share of passes, period.
We need to upgrade our corner position, especially with Goodman gone, and we'll do so. But we don't need to sell the farm or even use a 1st round pick. Anyone we pick up in the draft is going to be a wide-eyed rookie anyway, he ain't gonna be able to cover T.O.
We get the best corner we can, given the circumstances, and we stick with our overall strategy of rebuilding the team. Key is rushing the quarterback, and making the deep receivers more irrelevant. And most importantly you do your absolute best to keep YOUR OWN offense on the field and not warming the bench watching the other team score.
