I was just listening with my back turned as the Colt OFFENSE players stated their names and colleges.
I heard a THIRD Stanford player on offense. I know about Fleener and Luck but I didn't catch the name of the third guy.
The significance for me is whether Martin was really lobbying to get traded, kicked off, or resign from the Dolphins to join his other Stanford teammates.
If so, then he really picked a bad, bad, way to do it.
I mean wow he is amazing, light years ahead of Tanny. Yep he has free reign with his offense too and well he still gonna lose his second playoff game. Wow amazing. Whoooooooo man why didn't we get Luck.....
Now I don't think the quarterback play of EITHER Smith or LUCK can be criticized so far. Luck drove for the first touchdown on SEVEN PASSES ALONE.
To me, despite my being shown to be wrong for years on this board saying "Luck ain't that good," (do a search on the board) Luck is light years better than Tanny at this point.
As I typed, I saw Luck break away from the pocket on a 2nd and 9. WHEN HE APPROACHED THE FIRST DOWN LINE HE DID NOT BASEBALL SLIDE LIKE TANNY DID IN A LIKE SITUATION EARLY IN THE JETS GAME LAST WEEK!
I mean, why in the hell would Tanny baseball slide on a play like that?????? And if you remember, they had to measure for the first down because after he baseball slided he had not been touched and started crawling toward the first down marker. WHAT THAT PROVES IS THAT THERE WAS NO THREAT TO HIM BEING HIT FROM IN FRONT. Just dumb!!!!!!!
Second time the above happened. This with New Orleans behind by 2 and it's third and 2 on about the 30 and same thing...QB sneak. And Brees is a little guy compared with Tanny.
They won. That took nuts. I've got to be honest. I thought this was silly not to save one time out in case of a bad snap like what happened to us with the Bills...or was it the Patriots.
Seahawks all the way. But I so couldn't give a shit. I already took Overtime for Superbowl Sunday. Bad day to drive drunk around here........especially if I catch you wearing Jets/Pats gear.
Well San Diego, who we gave our spot by losing to the lousy Jets and bad playing Bills, won today and if it were us and we beat Cincy like we did earlier in the year, it would be us in the Conference semifinals against Denver.
probably but losing in the playoffs to a division champ is a lot better than NOT GOING TO the playoffs because you lost to a team that was not even fighting for a playoff berth.
