Playoff Games

I don't want the Colts to win. Would just make me more upset to see a team we beat win. Won't have any choice in the Cincy-San Diego game.

Battle of the #1 overall draft QBs.
Good game. I hope the Chiefs win too.

I was just listening with my back turned as the Colt OFFENSE players stated their names and colleges.

I heard a THIRD Stanford player on offense. I know about Fleener and Luck but I didn't catch the name of the third guy.

The significance for me is whether Martin was really lobbying to get traded, kicked off, or resign from the Dolphins to join his other Stanford teammates.

If so, then he really picked a bad, bad, way to do it.

I mean wow he is amazing, light years ahead of Tanny. Yep he has free reign with his offense too and well he still gonna lose his second playoff game. Wow amazing. Whoooooooo man why didn't we get Luck.....

Now I don't think the quarterback play of EITHER Smith or LUCK can be criticized so far. Luck drove for the first touchdown on SEVEN PASSES ALONE.

To me, despite my being shown to be wrong for years on this board saying "Luck ain't that good," (do a search on the board) Luck is light years better than Tanny at this point.

As I typed, I saw Luck break away from the pocket on a 2nd and 9. WHEN HE APPROACHED THE FIRST DOWN LINE HE DID NOT BASEBALL SLIDE LIKE TANNY DID IN A LIKE SITUATION EARLY IN THE JETS GAME LAST WEEK!

I mean, why in the hell would Tanny baseball slide on a play like that?????? And if you remember, they had to measure for the first down because after he baseball slided he had not been touched and started crawling toward the first down marker. WHAT THAT PROVES IS THAT THERE WAS NO THREAT TO HIM BEING HIT FROM IN FRONT. Just dumb!!!!!!!

Chiefs can thank their secondary playing lights out. How many interceptions? Seven?

I like Luck's intensity on the sidelines and not just standing around picking his nose.

Could it come down to a "suck-up" field goal try?

NOW TO NEW ORLEANS VERSUS PHILLY.

New Orleans 3rd down and an inch at the Philly 13 yard line.

ABC would say "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?"

I say, 'WHAT WOULD PHILBIN DO?'

Well, New Orleans simply ran a quarterback sneak and made it.

Unfortunately, it was nullified by a false start on the part of another lineman and they had to settle for a field goal.

Second time the above happened. This with New Orleans behind by 2 and it's third and 2 on about the 30 and same thing...QB sneak. And Brees is a little guy compared with Tanny.

Now NO is 1st and 10 in sure field goal range.

Are they putting the ball up for grabs on 1st down?

Throwing deep passes?

No they are running and running the clock down.

Miami would be sending Tanny back to pass in order for him to either get sacked or fumble.

And some of you guys have been defending this lunacy all year.

Another QB sneak. First down. 44 seconds left to go. running down the clock for a possible bad snap. Leaving time for a second attempt if necessary.

Wow. They ran another play. Betting all against a bad snap.

They won. That took nuts. I've got to be honest. I thought this was silly not to save one time out in case of a bad snap like what happened to us with the Bills...or was it the Patriots.

Well San Diego, who we gave our spot by losing to the lousy Jets and bad playing Bills, won today and if it were us and we beat Cincy like we did earlier in the year, it would be us in the Conference semifinals against Denver.

probably but losing in the playoffs to a division champ is a lot better than NOT GOING TO the playoffs because you lost to a team that was not even fighting for a playoff berth.

There is a huge difference in play from the teams in the playoffs to our lowly dolphins. The speed is incredible.

It was nice to see Ronnie Brown score a TD with the longest run of the season for SD.
Looking forward to watching Ted Ginn this weekend.
