Pioli or Mangini with Peterson as advisor might be good to get different views,
for what, GM? Aponte is a CPA (and her first move was to screw up the cutting of Joey Porter) and knows nothing about personnel. Mangini is a failed coach and not a personnel guy with no background in it. Carl Peterson doesn't want the job and sucks anyway. Either of these choices would make this team even more of a laughingstock than it is already.
I would be fine with Pioli and what about Bill Polian?

Polian basically said that if you don't have a offensive line that is worth a shit, you really can't be a good team... That is why he blames the personnel.. And says that the coaches did a great job getting wins, with such a mess of an oline...

I think he's right.
I don't think the staff has distinguished itself all that much, but when your O-line is the worst pass blocking unit in the league and one of the 5 worst run blocking units in the league, AND your defense gives up 2,000 yards rushing then how do you get 8 wins, 5 over playoff teams, if your staff isn't doing something right?
I'd be very happy to see sherman go, but not because he did a particularly bad job this year. I just don't agree with him philosophically.
My concerns about Philbin are that I don't see him as a difference maker at this point so I'm indifferent about whether he should stay or go. If he's back for one more year, I won't be upset. Just not going to be very excited.
I'm disappointed in Coyle but don't know how much to blame on Ellerbe and Wheeler be colossal wastes of space and how much to blame on the scheme.
If I'm Ross I definitely fire Sherman and Turner. If Philbin refuses and puts up a stink, then everyone goes. Ireland should probably go at this point, but If I'm keeping Philbin and Coyle and replacing Sherman and Turner then I might give him one more year, although I'd probably hire a VP to put over him if I went that route.
