Philbin has decided on the scheme to run and the scheme is that he is trying to run against this great run defense AND when he has Tanny passing, he is doing so from a traditional pocket set and Tanny is the MOST SACKED qb IN THE LEAGUE.
Play calling this was the dumbest ass offensive game plan I ever saw. The defense did not have their best game but we were in this game. 13-0 at halftimme 2 field goals in the second half. They were ok. Maybe we should shift Ellerbe to the strong side and get a mlb. Misi can go as far as I'm concerned.
Our linebackers DO suck BIG TIME AND THIS GAME EXPOSED IT, whereas it has been kept under the rug before now.
We faced a team with a couple of grade 1 running backs and a QB that can do nothing but throw bombs.
That QB got lucky with a couple of those bombs early and right when we decided to re-think our strategy, they came back with their great running game and sank us.
Meanwhile, we kept on with the PROJECT "MAKE TANNY A POCKET QB now" project and unfortunately we DID NOT HAVE THE COMMON SENSE to realize that the only part of Buffalo's defense that is devastating is it's PASS RUSH.
Therefore, it was like before the departure of Martin and Igcognito all over again.
After those guys left, the coaches had Tanny getting rid of the ball on a count of three REGARDLESS of WHAT WAS HAPPENING DOWN FIELD.
They inexplicably went away from that against a team WHOSE ONLY CLAIM TO FAME IS THEIR PASS RUSHERS.

I agree. I'm willing to give the rest one more chance, But Sherman needs to go. That's it. He just does not have what it takes at this level. No creativity. Many a great athlete has been killed by the program he was in. Philbin needs to find someone who will use Tannehill to reach his full potential. Get creative, Why not let Tannehill run more? He is best when bootlegging and throwing on the run. Find a way to coach him to throw to receivers in stride. Its like having a Corvette and putting a 78 yr old elementary teacher behind the wheel. She is going to drive 60 in the right lane with the turn signal on regardless.

To be honest , he got this band of losers to play pretty decent once The Vagina went Awol and the distractions calmed down. MCkinny was probably the biggest reason , but I wouldn't blame it all on coaching. Ireland failed to put talent in place. Best driver in the world can't win a race in a VW Bug .

Those same tools won 8 games and ALMOST 4 others, so why blame the corn and NOT the cook.
Bro, the tools were good enough to beat NE, Cincy and, Indy. All are division champs. Also SD and Pitt.
The same tools are not good enough to beat cellar dwellers like Buffalo twice and Tampa??
I think it was Parcels that said something to the effect that a good coach will beat you with his team and if you switch teams he will beat you with your team.
Philbin is not a good HC. He may develop into one and deserves the chance but, Sherman has been weighed and measured and has been found wanting.
