Date: December 16, 2013 11:35AM actually, it doesn't matter if Detroit wins. If we win out, we are in regardless. Because Cinci plays Balt in the last game of the season, that outcome could determine which of those 2 teams make the playoffs. If Baltimore wins tonight, and next week vs NE, and Cinci wins, the winner will make the playoffs, and the loser goes home (balt would be 9-7 with a loss, and Cinci loses the tiebreaker with us if they lose).

Date: December 16, 2013 12:24PM Welcome Back BobT. I guess you are right in that if Balt wins out then they win their division and that would leave us in a potential tie with Cincy for the wildcard spot and we beat them head to head anyway.
That's another weird derivation that I did not consider. But all things being equal, I'd prefer to root for Detroit to win tonight because they are in the NFC and no way a Balt loss to them hurts us. Re: Balt-Detroit Monday Night Football Thread?
