Dolphins view of the Steelers game

Great game. Great win.

Tannehill is starting to run the ball some which is much needed.

2 great plays by the receivers for the TD's today.

Defense played way soft most of the game. Finally in last 2 drives they pressed some. Must have heard me screaming at the TV for 3 plus quarters to press. I believe if we press the receivers more we would have a complete dominate defense.

Thomas played great.

Clay is a beast.

The best win I remember in a long time considering the importance and conditions.

1. December

2. With playoff hopes alive

3. In the snow

4. Away game

Is this the same phins team from the past...

Other than that dallas miracle game i dont remember us winning any games in this conditions. Especially in december. And with playoff hopes alive.

Whether we make the playoffs or not, the coaching staff has done a remarkable job considering the circumstances of this season.

There was an away game in Denver where Fiedler drove us to a last-second field goal....I thought it was snowing that game but maybe not.

That was when Mare kicked a 51 footer for the win but, I don't recall any snow on the field.

You're right, it was in October of 2002 I think. Not that it can't snow in Colorado in October.

Lots of game balls to go around, Lets not for get our little rookie kicker Sturgis. In horrible weather he was perfect for the day. Certainly couldn't have pulled it out without him.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I remember in years before when we played bad weather games the whole team played like crap.

So good job to the current players and coaches for the job they did yesterday against pittsburgh in bad weather and snow.

He missed a 50+ yard-er a the end of the 1st half, resulting in the first failed lateral-runback by the Steelers. But I'm not holding him liable for that--weather was horrible.

That was a bad call by Philbin. Sturgis has ZERO chance of making that kick. We should have gone for the first down. They had time to run 2-3 more plays if they picked up the first down to get into makeable FG range. If they got stopped short then Pitt had no timeouts left at our 35 with 15 seconds left.

Forgot about that one.......But your right , they had no reason making him pull a 50+ in driving wind and snow. So much so I put it out of my mind! LOL but I stand corrected. smileys with beer He did make more then most in that weather IMO. Must have been stressful for a Rookie. He's got what it takes IMO. Ireland did well drafting him.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Chyren- us Florida boys don't see snow unless, our parents take us skiing or boarding growing up.... Sturgis born in St Augustine, went to UF.... Obviosuly his parents never took him to Colorado skiing growing up...lol.... Living in florida, you don't make it a point to go north for a winter trip just to see snow...

Great thing about Southern California (says the Oklahoma transplant). I can drive 20 miles to the West and go to the Santa Monica to the beach or I can drive out to the desert in Palm Springs or I can look above Pasadena and sometime see snow on Mount Wilson.

If I didn't live here now, where I grew up and have roots, I would live in LA or NY city... Both places I have worked or lived in the past in my early days of business... The warm water ocean and Caribbean, give south fla the edge in my personal lifestyle... But damn, LA and NYC are fun and full of opportunity, no doubt about it....

St. Augustine is not all that far from Jacksonville and I personally have seen snow there on two occasions.
Even Miami had a snowfall in the spring of 1966.

I saw a freeze in Jax , where our glasses of water started to freeze outside, and surfed Augustine in some freezing ass water, but never snow or enough where it was on the ground...
The snow fall in Miami, that I have ever heard of was winter of 77... Did it also happen in spring of 66?

Yeah, spring of 66 was the first snowfall in recorded history in Miami. I missed the one in 77. I think I was in S. America.

In 66 I lived in Syracuse NY where we experienced a snowstorm that I certainly will never forget. On the evening news was where I heard the report of the first snowfall ever recorded in Miami. Where that report came from I can't say. Whether it was an official observation at the airport or whether somebody called in to the local TV station to report they were seeing snowflakes in the backyard I can't say for sure but, I know it made it to the evening news. They also reported several deaths in the Bahamas attributed to the cold blast.
