I'd be interested in trading for him in the off season.
5'9" - 215 lbs power back to go along w Lamar. He's young and could grow in this offense.
He just doesnt seem to fit the Saints' scheme, and isn't used to best fit his running style.
From what I've seen, the guy has a great attitude and work ethic.
I think he just needs a change of scenery.
I'd give a 3rd for him. He'd be a step up from Thomas anyway.

careful, you'll make chyrenB's head explode

ps Ingram sucks. A 3d rounder for a RB who's rushed for 1 100 yard game in his 3 year career? really? you can get RBs like that off the street

Yeah, I wanted us to draft him. Good thing we didn't though.

HOWEVER, if we are looking for backs that aren't playing to be traded to us, I'd much more prefer Toby Gerhardt, Stanford, Minnesota Vikings, sitting on the bench behind Peterson.

Who was that guy we had a couple of years ago, maybe even when Pennington was starting that had a Hawaiian name and used to get that short yardage for us?

We cut him and I kept complaining and folks would reply but he only got so and so yardage each year but "hello" that's why he's a good 4th and 1 or 3 and 1 guy. That's worth a roster spot to me because I really believe we lost at least one early game because we failed on a crucial 4th and 1 play inside the 5 yard line.

It sounded a "tiny bit" more French than Hawaiian.

Lousaka Polite. The "Lousaka" seems Samoan to me although I could not remember the name at all, I just knew it sounded Samoan, which Hawaii is mainly composed of.

Now Polite sounds English to me. The Lite sounds like Light. And if anything European, I would guess Italian. But I looked it up and it is of French derivation. Are you of French descent or do you have any experience with it or did you look it up like I subsequently did?

One guy living up to the Hype is CJ Spiller. Guy is the real deal. Anyone in the draft fit his profile? We need a Powerback/Fullback in this draft.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

I have felt our RB situation is pretty good. We have depth and functional talent. Obviously we've had glaring OL issues which has crippled our run game at times.

I was kind of surprised they jettisoned Jonas Gray -- tho his production really tailed off as the preseason wore on. But we could use a kid with a nose for short yardage and getting the pig in the promised land.

Gillislee might be the best answer we have right now for 3rd and 1.

If we ever resolve the unending OL nightmare I'd like to have a legit "burner " option coming out of the backfield.

BNF.

De'Anthony Thomas from Oregon is a "burner". He is a RB/WR combo with scary moves and great athleticism, a lot like Tavon Austin. He's a bit undersized and injuries have been a bit of a problem tho. I'd guess he'll be a 2nd rounder so probably a little early for us this year, but I think he's the type of player you guys are talking about. Check out his youtube highlights, you'll be impressed.
