Odd, may be the competition, but someone else mentioned with martin & Incognito & even pouncey out we have has less sacks in the last 3 weeks, haven't we? You rarely hear Brenner's name when in.
Isn't it curious that some of the best o-line play all season has been without some of the 5 starters picked by Philbin and Sherman? The original starters had a lot of time playing together as a unit and gave up a record number of sacks, yet the current line thrown together may be outperforming the original starters.

I think getting that pussy Martin and boneheaded captain Incognito out of there has been the reason for the improved play. The line is actually playing as a unit now!
If you notice Tannehill was throwing off 3 step drops most of the time yesterday. He did it on the TD pass to Hartline and was in the shotgun on a quick hitter to Wallace.
I would say Brenner is a better run blocker than Jerry. JJ had a -5.4 in run blocking yesterday. Brenner had a -0.4 in run blocking. he only played 15 snaps.
Jerry is a little better in pass pro than Brenner.
Pouncey, Garner, Sims and Jerry all graded negative in run blocking and Pouncey and Jerry had negative overall grades. Pouncey did lose 20 lbs last week.
