I never read that before and that last quote is not anything that I have heard was said by Richie. Richie did send one promising to f his "real" mother.

Now, having read that and the one that Richie tacitly admitted sending, I wonder how much of this was horseplay because it seems no difference than Richie saying that Martin sent him an email threatening to kill his whole family.

Now truly if all this was going on and was really sincere as opposed to trash talking, would not you say that Philbin being clueless is grounds for firing?

And I don't believe that crap about this lies in Ireland's lap for controlling the locker room atmosphere.

But yes, this is the first time that I heard that.

Crowder, I understand where you are coming from.

Again, based on the surface, I find it difficult to judge Martin, but...

I personally don't think he handled this situation very well; led to his walking out on his team...getting another starter suspended....putting the team through turmoil that is not needed (by any team) especially in the midst of the season...making a laughing stock of the entire Miami Dolphins organization.

If things were as bad as he believes them to be (which is why he walked out), then why didn't he take it up to higher authorities? Why didn't all this happen during training camp?

Saying that, I still must wait until I hear the facts of the case. Martin may have been intimidated by the whole Dolphins organization; I don't know. But, the investigation is ongoing and when the facts are finally released, there 'MAY' be a good reason or reasons for what he did and why he did it.

But, on the other hand, we may get a report similar to the Warren Commission.

I truly believe, however, that Martin may have an extremely difficult time finding another team for him to play on. Sure, I heard the report where there were a bunch of GMs that said they would take him. However, I find it suspect that the players in the locker room would do the same.

Chryen, your second sentence backs what we have been saying....it "seems" as tho it was horsing around, because "supposedly" Martin showed it to some of his teammates and laughed about it, and "supposedly" Martin GAVE as well as he GOT.

As far as Philbin being clueless about this whole thing...I personally find that puzzling. The HC should have the pulse of the locker room. If this truly was going on and Philbin (or any of the other coaches) knew nothing...it's hard to fathom.

Should Philbin be fired if that is the case? Again, we will have to wait for the official report to determine who knew what and how much. That SHOULD determine who loses their job (or not).

Again as to your most recent post I agree. A lot of assumptions are being made.

Even my statement about Philbin was an assumption based on the premise that there WAS a pervasive atmosphere of bullying against Martin.

If there was not, then he has no fault.

If there was just one on one bullying, he would not have been negligent for not knowing unless it was brought to his attention.

I think what we tend to do is to nowadays go with what somebody in the news room basically concludes happened and they kind of hint to the point that we think those are the facts.

Someone cited a report which said JM's lawyer publicly stated that that was what it was. If so, then we can go from there but otherwise...

1. Jonathon Martin is not capable of being a good LT in the NFL. He sucked for two years and actually got worse in his 2nd year. We will not miss him. Time to move on from yet another failed 2nd round pick.

2. Incognito is an idiot, man child that cannot be good for the locker room. Like the man said...If Richie is your leader, you have problems. He is inconsistent and gave up 6 sacks in 7.25 games. he is all hype because of his dirty play. We can do better.

We are better off without both of them. This team needs some true leadership...starting from the very top.

As far as the LT from Washington....It seems to me that the words spoken by the umpire were a reaction to something prior that Williams did....

LOL....

It is a measure of size for motorcycle engines.

Trade Martin to the Pats. One "sissy" can block for the other.
