Why is it the OL without Pouncey and Incognito

The only O-linemen to have a positive grade for the SD game were Jerry and Clabo.
McKinnie: -1.1, allowed 2 sacks, 1 hit, 1 hurry
Brenner: -0.4, allowed 1 sack, 1 hurry
Garner, -0.3, allowed no hits hurries or sacks, His only negative was in the run game.
Danny Watkins played 5 snaps, Dallas Thomas played 1 snap.
It is pretty bad when a guy like Brenner (Undrafted FA) gets the nod over a 3rd rounder and a former 1st rounder.
John Jerry +1.1, Clabo +1.9.
Clabo has played well for 3 straight weeks.
Whipping boy Daniel Thomas had a +3.3 grade. Charles Clay had a +4.2
Hartline had a negative grade (-1.3) Wallace had a +0.7
i think they schemed more for the inexperienced line. shorter routes and quicker throws.
not sure why they didn't do that while the other line was on the field. it should take that long to realize that line couldn't hold it's blocks long enough for the deeper patterns to open up.
we should spread the field out more often. we need an identity on offense and I think that fits the personnel.
Yeah. The scheme had a lot to do with it. Now...let's see if the coaches just forget what they did and go back to what DIDN'T work when Pouncey comes back.
It was a lot of things IMO-
There were issues with the Oline yesterday, although the LG, played pretty well...
It seems the team didn't rely on the offensive line to protect for very long... RT got rid of the ball fast and got out of the pocket well. As eesti said RT stepped up into the pocket well...
Also the snap counts had SD jumping off a lot and not getting a good push on our oline. Also we didn't put ourselves in positions where the line could pin their ears back and just pass rush us very often...
Having the quick passes and pass setting up the run helped the oline as well... We ran some nice screens... The fake RT pulled on SD had them spinning their wheels...
The game plan protected the weakness's in the line.. We kept SD's defense off balance with the plays we called...
It was good coaching, good play calling and strong execution from Tannehill...

Yeah but it worked because SD had focused on the old snap count which is what set them up to jump off a lot... I am not sure the mentality or philosophy behind it, but it sure helped us this week, when we needed it...
