Dimitri Patterson and the defense

I hope they can keep this guy healthy. He has had at least one pick in every game he's started this year.

Definite keeper and upgrade to Richard Marshall.

I dogged him earlier in the week for bad moves but Kudos to Ireland for this one.

Patterson is under contract through 2014. Grimes should be resigned. This kind of makes those high draft picks at CB a luxury IF they pan out.

We are a much different team with a healthy Cam Wake, Dimitri and Grimes on the field.

You got that right. The D looked like it did in the first 2 games last night. Also, no Tannehill turnovers helped.

Considering how long the defense was on the field....makes their performance all the more impressive.

Patterson was the turnover edge the team has been searching for.... tied for 1st with 4.... I dont believe he had an interception in the buffalo game though... But he has 4 starts and 4 picks, thanks to his double header in the opener....
I agree we dont have great depth, when Wake, Patterson, Ellerbe have been out the defense struggles at their respective position... We are much stronger with Carroll as our 3 then our 2... Even though Carrol is having a decent year....

Bernard reminds me a lot of Thurmon Thomas. I used to cringe seeing him run roughshod through our defense.

What's the trade deadline? We should be talking to the Bungles to see if they are willing to trade Jarvis Green Ellis. I know it might not be wise for THEM to let go this early but that's why there are con men in the world and that's why they feed off suckers. Get him while they're wondering.

Why wouldn't Grimes be whipped? He took an int back 94 yards, then on the Bernard run, Grimes must have run about 60 yards chasing him, along with all the other plays covering receivers down the field.

I wouldn't be surprised if an ambulance had to take him home.

The defense was on the field for an eternity. The group whose play was most affected by this was our Linebacker core and then possibly our safeties. TONS of terrible whiffed arm tackles. It was embarrassing and it really hurt us on a number of plays that went for big yards that should have been stopped at the LOS or right around it. The D-line looked like they only got better and the corners played very well throughout (despite what was for some reason a very slippery field)
