2. The O-line fought through adversity and were instrumental in this win. Good job Bryant McKinnie, Richie Incognito and Nate Garner, Mike Pouncey, John Jerry, and wow, Tyson Clabo. Mike Sherman: This O-line is obviously really good at run blocking, not so much for passing. Let's run and stick with it. Also: Use Lamar Miller's speed on outside runs, Daniel Thomas' power on the inside. This should be obvious.
3. Brent Grimes, Dimitri Patterson, and Charles Clay again played really well. He doesn't play much, but Michael Egnew is earning more playing time by being a good run blocker- something he supposedly isn't able to do well. He can also catch when called upon. Dannell Ellerbe made one of the big plays of the game-he knocked down that 3rd down pass in OT that forced the Bengals to punt instead of being in position to kick the winning field goal.
4. This defense drives me crazy. They make big plays, but I saw waaaaay too many missed tackles tonight. Phillip Wheeler may be fast, but he's out of position too much and misses tackles he should make-see Bernard's TD run.
5. Ryan Tannehill holds the ball too long and doesn't throw it away when he should. On the other hand, he's learning how to win late.
Agree O-line played big down 2 guys. Grimes and Patterson better than Smith and Vontae although struggle with big WR. With Mckinnie in we haven't seen that swinging door, so far a good acquisition

Ain't THAT the truth....I couldn't believe how long they babbled on and on about whether the ball was 'completely' in the end zone on the safety and even whether Hartline got both feet down on the pass during the game winning drive???? It was almost like they were just SEARCHING for reasons to dis the Phins...of course not a word about the one bogus PI call and only a chuckle about the NON CALL on BLATANT PI right in front of the ref that prolonged the game in the Bengals favor.... Ridiculous.

Agree, I can't understand how we hold for two downs and give up 3rd and 15+ again and again.

In general I think KB's prior posts are correct. Our defense was gassed in the second half. With Grimes' TD after a long drive and our time of possession for a long time in the second half being almost zero, they were out of breath. not an excuse really as they need to be in condition, especially in our own climate. But I think that was a big factor.

Agreed, the D was gassed, but....
No matter the point in the game, the D still gives up most, if not all, 3rd and longs. That, along with the offense not being able to drive down the field, wore the D out. I believe they were on the field for the majority of the 3rd quarter.
