No insight...just a little perplexed that an actual newspaper would get the date wrong, and also publish the phrase "Get you autograph..."
Current players getting paid lots of money shouldn't charge for autographs, IMO. Older guys who didn't get paid squat back when they played who really need the money, I could see that maybe. But either way, I wouldn't pay for one.
