Not only is it an opportunity to go into the bye week with a blazing 4-1 start by winning an important conference match up, but it will tell you everything you need to know about the heart and character of this team.
The got kicked in the head by an elite team in one of the toughest places to play a road game. It sucks but it happens.
Sunday they get to show the world whether that beating makes them better or makes them run and hide.
As the immortal Lawrence Taylor said at his HOF induction speech : "the crime is not being knocked down, the crime is not getting up again."

Agree....This game on sunday against the ravens will show if we are going to tank the season or come our fighting and not give it a second thought to the saints loss.
If we can win sunday and go 4-1 we still in great shape.
If they told me we were going to go 4-1 to start the season after seeing the teams we had to play, i would not had believed it.
We still in good shape if we win sunday.
PS. The saints game will probably go down as the hardest most difficult to beat team we will face the entire season.
I agree with you Truth and Samsam, if the team can beat the Ravens, it will show some "mettle" and that will put us at 4-1, far better than I expected several weeks ago.
Playing in the SuperDome against the Saints of today isn't like it used to be. Remember the Bags fans wore over their heads? LOL
I hope the thrashing we took in the Dome is motivational and one that team members and coaches can glean lessons learned from. Don't let stumbles become set backs...that's what Lawrence Taylor was pointing out.
While I agree that getting back in the win column against the defending Super Bowl champions would be huge for the physche of this fan base and the team, even if we were to lose next Sunday, we'd still be 3-2 thru our roughest stretch of the schedule, I think I originally said we'd go into the bye at 3-2/2-3 depending on the Indy game.......4-1 would sure be nice!
We should take the Ravens. They usually play tough after a lost but I really think we can take them at home. Flacco is not the smartest qb in the league. I see us going up to 4-1.

Yeah I was wondering because it could be interpreted either way.

Right.

I noticed that too. Of course, at this point in the season, as a fan of this team. You want to root for every NFC team playing an AFC team and I've been doing just that.
If it's AFC East other team vs. AFC West, North or South, you root for one of those other divisions.
If it's AFC West North or South against each other, you root for the team with the poorest record.

RIGHT! RIGHT!

Right and while at the same time I'm looking at the Bills, Pats and Jets, my main concern was NOT JUST that we lost the game.
Like I said, we were ask to predict these five games on the chatboard BEFORE this game and I had us winning the first three and I had this game as a TOSSUP.
So I'm not just moaning that we LOST the game. It's HOW WE LOST.
And how the announcers constantly criticized Philbin's coaching and you know what? I felt they were right.
