If Limbaugh had not been fired and stayed on, while he kept fueling the fire of his original comments and outlook...

It doesn't really bother me, we all know "white men cant jump" hahahaha, I just think it is nonsense, and surprised the Sun Sentinel and his editor continues to give him a platform to keeping reiterating those type of remarks... And what did Hartline do to him? He has always given Hartline a hard time...

an idiot with a platform and institution behind him...
But you are right some people are just idiots, and make things factors by their own choosing... And then by their own hands tend to perpetuate it.. I am all for free speech and being honest, my only rule, just dont be a (our word of the month) "douchebag"...fail....lol

Where he is off, is that young high school/college kids, dont try and look to a beacon of hope because of the color of a mans skin...They have players they emulate or look up to which I can assure you color has nothing to do with it... Any person with a little talent can do anything they want to do if they put in more work and critical thought then the next guy does... Insinuating Hartline is an inspiration because he is a white guy who can play a skilled position in football is just a nonsense out look on life and football.. An extremely shallow view to share with people on ones behalf.....

As I have posted before. The object of this guy and every other newsperson is to put food on his own table. Some of them have something constructive to earn their salary based on and others just babble on.

And also his words are insulting to a whole race of people--that is insulting to White people, the whole "White men can't Jump" thing. First of all, it is still a predominantly White sport. To me the talent seems equally proportioned.
If there is any imbalance in terms of population percentage versus player percentages, it is due to sociological factors being that due to economics certain economically deprived populations rely more on sports as a future key to success than on academics or starting a business.
In other words, how many prior role models in your community "made it out" with sports versus other pursuits.
Hopefully, in 100 years or so there will be no economically deprived areas, no need to rely solely on sports or drug dealing as a way out of poverty but if there is any merit whatsoever to Omar's comments, it has more to do with economics than race.
Well, wasn't it Hartline who named his end-zone victory dance "The Dirty White Boy?" I understand the part about spoofing the old "dirty bird" dances that the Falcon receivers used to perform but, why the white boy reference. What would be the reaction if say Wallace had danced the "Dirty Black Boy?"
Now, "The Dirty Dolphin" has a nice ring to it.
Omar is correct in that the NFL playing field is not level and white receivers do stand out from the crowd like black QBs.
Maybe the day will come when we can acknowledge the obvious and talk about it without sparking a controversy or worrying about offending somebody's feelings. I'm sure the players laugh about it and so should we.
Hooligan, the color of a mans skin has nothing to do with the talent or character in life nor any position on the football field... There are lots of players of spanish, black, white heritage that play all positions on the football field... who cares, it has nothing to do with it, nor their success.. There are more hazel eye players in the nfl then brown eyes, who cares... People arent defined by their color of skin nor eyes, at least on the football field, hopefully one day not in the world either...
But if we continue to define people in this way as Omar has done, it perpetuates the ignorance and nonsense IMO...

Utopia and Main Street are two entirely different places. The NFL playing field and any sports venues deal in realities and not abstract ideologies. If the US Olympic team had a race quota system it's doubtful that they would be as successful. Usain Bolt is on and off the fastest man in the world, he's black as are the next several hundred competitors behind him. Guess which race dominates our track and field relay teams. The stopwatch cares nothing about talent or character, only raw physical ability, intelligence being equal. It's nothing devious, only a biological fact.
Hooligan- 2 guys, ran a 4.34 in this years NFL combine..... races does not define either of them in realities nor their 40 times.. THe color of a mans skin no more defines his ability to play, WR then it does his ability to play QB or coach...

You know how many Thug wannabes show off Miami 305 tattoos!? So Omar is a thug wannabe now as well........
Many of you appear to me to be wilfully blind on this point. Kelly acknowledges the fact-and it is a fact- that talented white receivers are looked down upon today as black QB's were a few years ago. Hartline's ability is denigrated in both the local and national press, he is characterized as "slow"(he isn't-he's actually pretty fast, check his 40 time), and Omar Kelly has championed Hartline for years. Many of these same pundits refer to him as a "white receiver". The evidence is out there if you don't refuse to see it.
