Not as disappointed with the loss as i am with that second half. I stand by my thoughts on the first half. 2-3 less mistakes OR 2-3 plays go our way and we win the first half. BUT a total collapse like the second half??? To me that dosen't belie a young team on the upswing...It shows a lack of coaching, leadership, professionalism...OR ALL THREE. That is disappointing...well Damn, going to bed.

The upside for us is that we have a really good chance to go into the bye at 4-1...not many of us would have guessed that prior to the season.

And, we have a good chance to go into the NE game at 5-1...if that happens I for one will be very pleased...even though we still have work to do...the team is going in the right direction.

If we can get our key playmakers on the same page, get healthy, and fix the O-Line, the sky is the limit for us.

And Jordan needs to be playing...

Man our O-Line sucks...what is it, four or five sacks allowed tonight?

And 18 or 19 on the season so far...

Ken, on first blush you would be correct if you talk about ONE mistake that costs a game.

But go back and look at this thread and see the bush league (and I don't mean Reggie) mistakes we have made that I don't see on the college level.

I mean guys making mistakes EVEN THEY THEMSELVES had been coached OUT OF MAKING IN high school.

It shows a lack of REINFORCING FUNDAMENTALS.

I know in my heart that Don Shula is saying EVERYTHING I am saying.

For one example, the punt return. The punt returner is awaiting the punt and our lead defender comes toward him.

In MIDGET FOOTBALL, you are taught first trap him THEN wait until the returner commits before YOU COMMIT.

This clown keeps coming at the Scroles (?) full speed and is promptly sidestepped resulting in a return of an additional 12 or so yards.

And Ken, would you concede that the college coaches keep reinforcing and re-teaching the fundamentals learned in high school?

Same thing with pro coaching. How long has it been since we forgot the days of Shula.

In fact, in terms of FUNDAMENTALS, we were better off with Sparano!!!!!

As the line in the movie "Arthur" goes, "It sucks," Ken "it really sucks."

Too many turnovers. Can't win footie ball games like that. Bozo no-no. 3 Int's & a fumble = not gonna win against a team like the Saints in their house.

Exactly. thumbs up If anyone said we would be 4-1 going into the Bye I would be Psyched. We can't win them all. Only the 72' Phins could do that. The Phins will regroup. Ravens next. 4-1 is the plan.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

It's doable. 3-1 is a good start, 4-1 definitely within reach. This team needs to regroup and keep learning from the mistakes. I don't consider the Ravens to be near the threat that the Saints were, but we can't keep giving the ball away no matter who the opponent is though. That killed us from early on.

After watching the total breakdown of the team in the second half, I have to agree with Hooligan that stated: "Not ready for prime time yet."

The team was out coached and out played. Our players, with few exceptions looked like amateurs.

The mistakes made in the first half showed, IMO, the lack of mental toughness needed to fight back, stay focused, and not be confused during the second half.

You could see the lack of confidence in Tannehill's eyes (where gonna get our butts kicked). If I could see that, so could his teammates and so could the Saints.
