That's a bad break for Vince, he's a good guy. This could possibly be a career-ender. If the report is correct, achilles heels on big guys like that aren't going to heel too quick, if at all. Remember what happened to Marino after his achilles popped? He was never quite the same.
Secondly, I am really disgusted by this current trend of booing injured players..what has happened to the gentlemanly nature of the spectators of this sport? I hope Miami fans can remain classy and not adapt this rude behavior.

re "booing injured players" I think the booing was not necessarily for Wilfork (although I didn't pay8 *complete* attention to the TV last night).
I think the crowd was booing when they suspected other Patsies of faking injuries to stop the momentum of an Atlanta drive. THe tv announcers alluded to this as well during the game. There were several "cramps" last night by the patriots. The home crowd might have (at first) suspected Vince of faking it as well but obviously he wasn't.
He needs to lose 100 pounds if he wants to enjoy his retirement.
That said , one of the best Offensive lineman this past decade IMO. Brady needs to name his next kid Vince after him and he is totally screwed now. He does not do well under pressure and his main protection is probably gone for good. Go get'em Wake/Jones!
