For now and forever because that's all he's got.
He doesn't have the skill set to be an impact player or even a good back up qb in the nfl.
If you want to point to a handful of games where his defense and special teams carried him then go ahead. But hoping your defense keeps it close so Tebow can put together one or two plays in the last 2min is a losing longterm strategy.
The nfl is a qb league. Half the teams are dying to find a top 15 qb.
The fact that he's looking for his 4th team in 18 months tells you everything you need to know about him as an NFL qb.

But that grandmother is a very good swimmer and Tebow is not a very good Passer.
It's not a good comparison.
Even so... You can always argue there is a "chance " for anything.
But three posts ago you were saying he's a proven winner in the nfl. Now it's there is a chance he could be great.

Because The Jets ruined his reputation. Never said he was good. But 100% heart is better then most rookies out there. I think in order for Tbow to be successful you would have to be a really special Team that bought in 100% completely. The Broncos did because they had no choice. Then they dumped him like a used condom.
No team is willing to take that kind of chance. I wish one where because I'd like to see it. Rocky 7 !!

Scott Mitchell?
An unbeliebable run?
you mean a one game run when marino went down with the archiles tendon injury was it?
He played one unbelievable game and everyone thought he was the next coming of dan. Then he went into the sunset and never returned.

I really want Tebow to do well. But I don't agree with his being so iron-headed that he needs to play QB in the NFL right now, or nothing. Some great QBs did time in the CFL before moving on to greatness in the NFL. Other QBs did well by changing or modifying their positions, such as our own Jim Jensen and Marlin Briscoe.
Tim Tebow is no different from Roger Staubach. IN HIS DAY (WHICH WAS MY DAY) Roger Was known as the big "out front Christian" guy and received some 60's backlash for that.
(Let's table a discussion of the relative talent of the two for a moment because no way am I saying that it is the same).
But never would I have thought in the Sixties that the heat that Roger was getting for being a Christian would be like a fly buzzing around your ear for a second when compared with the MERCILESS hounding of Tim Tebow for being a Christian and standing up for our Lord.
In this twitter-texting world wherein death row inmates are coddled like little babies, kids are allowed to be bullied in schools and the only concern is for the bullies if the teachers whack them, A guy like Tim Tebow was basically hounded out of football not because of inferior play but because of
......inferior play COMBINED WITH an outright assertion of his Christian beliefs.
Is his play inferior to Manning, Brady, Luck, Rogers, Wilson, Kaepernick and even Tannehill? Hell YES!!!
Is it so inferior he cannot even find a spot as a BACK UP on a team???? Hell No!
But all things considered, the front offices just don't want to deal with the negative fan reaction.
Says a lot for our times....and I'm afraid I don't like what it says.

I've gotta agree, with or with out gettin' a "AMEN!"
Tebow is worthy of a #3 spot at QB Somewhere....Jax, Buffalo, SOMEWHERE. Even if he's hurting his own chances by refusing to take a role where he'd contribute more to a team by opening up to the possibility of changing his specific role on the team.

I'm going to argue that he's not worthy of a #3 spot on an NFL team.
The reason for that isn't necessarily that he's not good enough, but more that his skill set is unique.
To carry him as a 3rd QB means having to have an entirely different offense that everyone must learn in the event that he gets into the game because he and his 47.5% career completion % clearly shows he can't operate a normal NFL offense.
How does having him as my 3rd QB help my team if he can't execute the offense the first two guys run if called upon? How does wasting valuable and limited training/practice time teaching the other 24 guys on offense the new scheme we'd run if he is called on to play?
I suppose that if you had 3 guys like him on a team he'd be deserving of a spot, but frankly I can't even think of one guy in NFL history who plays like he does.
He needs to go to the CFL, play every day, and improve at running an NFL offense that every other QB in the league could run.
He may be still holding out for that NFL call during the regular season should injuries come on some teams. Remember he would be under contract in the CFL.

Sorry....that's no way to be successful in the NFL. Waiting for injured players to make rooster spots is for retired Older Players . Tebow needs to get on a team anyway he can and stick by doing anything and everything he can to help them win.
