This is a moderated phorum for the CIVILIZED discussion of the Miami Dolphins. In this phorum, there are rules and moderators to make sure you abide by the rules. The moderators for this phorum are JC and Colonel.
As of late, many topics have gone into the realm of politics, religion, and other areas that many people have strong stringent beliefs about.
I know that the off season breeds boredom around here, and that the temptation to type out your feelings on a matter can be stronger because, with this being a football based forum, there isn't a whole lot of football to talk about.
That being said, I want to ask everyone to try to stick to the topic of a thread and if you do go off topic, take a moment to realize that we all share different beliefs and as a group we need to respect each others beliefs.

No, I think it's still intact. For that to happen, I'd have to have put the post as a sticky. The way i see it, if i have to do that, I've already lost your attention anyway.
yeah well the AFc East is full of...
those wolf hunting gun loving sarah palin marrying bills
those communist/nazi unconstitutional healthcare pats
those illuminati cult fetish freaks and scum of the earth jest fans
Yes let's stay politically correct. Now tell me what too say. It's coming I'm afraid. "Can't we all just get along?" Too quote a true American hero the great Rodney King.

The ACLU is that way ---->
I asked for mutual respect. Not censorship. Get off your soapbox.
Hey Chyren am I a right winger because of my beliefs. Or is it because I'm naturally right handed, and the right side of my brain dominates my thought feelings and actions? I think your being unfair at labeling me a right winger.
And I might add that however slightly almost everybody is either left of center or right of center.
I consider myself a Centrist but my Republican colleagues at the office called me a liberal and my Liberal colleagues called me a conservative.
At Berkeley in the Late 60's, one of my friends who was the Head of the Young People's Socialist League, made the defining comment on me when he looked into my eyes and said, "You know? You're the only Red Fascist that I have ever met."
I find it amazing that finshady thinks anyone cares about his political beliefs one way or the other. in his mind all everyone does on this board is think and talk about him.

Unless you want to discuss football, I don't have much interest in what you have so say
Believe it or not, this is a football forum, with a splash of other sports.
Yeah Tony Soprano was a good actor, but also a Jet's fan. He still was ok in my book. Goes to show you that one must take care of themselves no matter what because life is really too short.
I am actually really sad about Gandolfini. He's one of the only celebrity deaths that upset me (MCA of the Beastie Boys being the other). His portrayal of Tony S was one of the best bits of acting I've ever seen (he made a guy who did some horrible things really sympathetic), and by all accounts he was a really nice normal guy in real life. To die at 51 is just way too soon. But the guy really ballooned up in recent years and seemed pretty unhealthy, so I guess to die of a heart attack or stroke isn't an extreme shock.

Just as a Further example of a bad thread derailment , because that would be wrong,
They just picked a 6 person ALL Female jury for the Zimmerman Trial. Guess one side believes in sympathy and the other doesn't. Defense feels that women know what its like to be a victim? Is that the theory? Should be interesting.......if we could discuss it that is. We can't here, because that would be wrong.
You could go either way, Treasure. You could say women are more likely to see themselves as the mother of the dead kid, who was a teenager, and be more sympathetic to the prosecution. Or you could say, like you did, that the defense figures that women are less likely to convict.
No doubt both sides have Polar opposite theory's otherwise they wouldn't have picked it that way. Personally I'm surprised that its come this far at all. All the information on this kid that is not allowed into a trial was available to the police during the investigation and its a no brainier. But some dip***t in the press got hold of that stupid 911 call and made a mountain out of a MO hill. They lit a match , threw it on some really dry branches and watched the forest burn. Wait until after that verdict doesn't go the way people wish it to. My family will be under house arrest for a few days.
This will be Casey Anthony all over again. The case was overcharged. Casey Anthony was using xanax to drug her toddler to sleep while she went out and partied. (She told her friends that she was doing that and call the drug "Xany, the Nanny." It's not hard to figure out what happened. She came back one night and found the toddler dead and buried her and lied for weeks before the truth came out. But she didn't out and out murder the child like the prosecution charged. But the Florida prosecution team was under such public pressure that they tried to make a murder case out of a voluntary manslaughter case.
Same here, Zimmerman, a wannabe cop who was just only neighborhood watch, followed the kid and when the kid confronted him, there was a struggle and Zimmerman, now genuinely afraid, shot him. But here in California, if you are responsible for creating the dangerous situation that results in a death, you can't claim self-defense. This should have been charged as an involuntary manslaughter, not murder as it is. Like Casey Anthony, the case is being overcharged and like Casey Anthony, there will probably be an acquittal but with far more drastic civil unrest consequences than Casey. So in the end, the dumb-a_s prosecutors are going to get precisely the civil unrest they stupidly thought they would avoid by overcharging the case.
Wannabe cop? Or is that what the Press created by releasing the 911 call? I see 100's of good neighborhood watch people that donate their time just to keep people safe. All I'm saying is that everyone feeds into that assumption , Yet your not allowed to assume that Martin was a punk who attacked him. The Kid was a fighter. A doper. Yet all the press ever shows is pictures of him 6 yrs earlier as a kid and focuses all the attention on Zimmerman trying to create racial tensions. Its disgraceful.
Sorry if you act like a thug and dress like one, you might just get accused of being one. Cops come you show them your candy and Iced tea ad you move on. Nothing wrong with what Zimmerman did. If a cop did that yes. Can't profile , your held to a higher standard. But a citizen? Tough. You don't beat him up for that. You have the right to defend yourself if that happens. The defense marks prove he was attacked. Yet all the press focused on was tht 911 call.
Over Charged is putting it lightly. Kid was a Thug.
