Yes Berk I am now a mod. I have felt and shared on many occasions that this board is my home, has been for 4 plus years, and I felt that I should give back to the place that has given me so much in terms of sports conversation. If you guys need anything just hit me up and i'll do my best to help.

When I first came to this board, I tried to bring some of the posters with me, from the AOL board, but with no success. There were some really good posters there.

I have a problem with anyone having to read posts on a web site that is free to join and can have some heated debates. Because one does not like another persons opinion. I am conservative, and proud of my beliefs however I can't express my opinions on this web site or else the thought police will close the thread. FYI everyone is not a bleeding heart liberal. I will continue to say things that are extreme because I speak what I believe is the truth. Odenn be fair in your so called judgement is all I ask.

I'm no bleeding heart either believe me , but you have to remember you can't step into someone's else's house and then do as you please. Its that simple. We are all Curts invited quests and he decides what kind of content stays or goes. You say its free, that's true for us but I'm sure Curt pays every month. Odenn or JC don't get paid either so I appreciate & respect their time .

Am i missing something here? I don't think I've had any direct interaction with you Finshady so I'm a little lost as to why you make such a post. I've closed one thread since being made a mod and it had nothing to do with you. As for your statements dealing with what kind of political and sociological stance us mods have, while it really doesn't have much to do with how we run the forum, fyi I happen to be a moderate conservative. As I said maybe I'm missing something but if you do have some sort of issue, please feel free to send me a PM and we can discuss it further.

And just so there is no confusion amongst members of the forum, the only time you will see me close a thread is if it violates a rule set by Curt, or goes off topic into personal attacks. I don't close threads because I disagree with them. I'm here to help the board run smooth so everyone can enjoy it, not to further my own personal beliefs.

Well let's just wait and see until another topic like Jason Collin's comes up for debate on this board. Or if someone happens to agree with Mike Wallace's statement that he doesn't under stand being gay. Both of those
of those threads were closed.

This is a Dolphins fan site shady. Not a Fox News or MSNBC forum.

Here it doesn't matter what your political opinions are. Left, Right or Center, if the discussion turns to far towards politics the thread will be closed.

That's been policy on this site from the very beginning.


I'm not sure why you suddenly have an issue with that or with Odenn's ability to be a fair moderator, but I'm positive he'll do a fine job.

If I recall correctly, those threads were closed when *in my opinion* they drifted too far away from any relevance towards the Miami Dolphins and too far towards plain old political bickering.

If you think they were closed because of you personally, then I'm sorry you feel that way.

Truth unblocked everybody when the Mayan prophesy came and went and we were still here. Guess he figured everybody deserved a second chance, even lawyers.

I really do enjoy the humor, honestly.

But I think the mods, even PF2 when he had that name are pretty cool about closing threads. Even the political ones they let go on for a little while enough to let people vent. They only step in and close the threads when people start getting worked up emotionally and everyone has said his peace.

Now, this is the off season which lasts from January until the pre-season. Not much real football to talk about.

Therefore, when, during that time, we have a Boston Marathon bombing or the shooting at Santa Monica City College campus (which I call 'Sandy Hook II'), then, understandably, people want to discuss it. They let those threads breathe awhile.

In sum, I think the mods have done a good job in balancing letting threads that are a little off-topic go on for the right amount of time.

I have seen no political bias in their thread closing one way or the other.

Moreover, Finshady, nobody to my knowledge knows anything about your politics. To me the only thing you are known for is hating on Cam Newton, who you call Scam Newton. That's not a political stand.
