Truth- You assume Lebron believes he wronged Cleveland. He's got one hell of an ego.

He knows he wronged Cleveland. The way he handled the whole "decision" thing was a fiasco. He went from the most popular athlete in the country (not just in Cleveland) to the most reviled overnight.

It's why he issued a public apology to Cleveland 2 years ago.

I'd be very concerned next year if I was a heat fan.

If his goal is to match or beat Jordan's 6 titles where is his best chance?

In Miami with an aging/fading wing man in wade and a 70 yr old gm, or in Cleveland with the best young pg in the league, and whomever they take with the top pick this year?

Add in the fact it's an opportunity at redemption for him, and it's not hard to see him going home after next year.

WHAT HAPPENED??????????????

Did the NFL refs suddenly replace the NBA refs in last night's game???

What a tacky questionable OFFENSIVE FOUL call at a crucial point in the closing seconds of the game with the Pacers!

On the second thought, at least the NFL refs know to lay off debatable calls in the final seconds of a close game.

Just like you can call holding on every play if you consider the non-flagrant type, you can call a contact foul on every basketball play, disgusting that they made that call.

They tried to make up for it by giving the ball to Miami on that out of bounds play later but it did not make up for it.

The game was cluttered with bad calls and makeup calls everywhere. I wonder what the refs were smoking. I also wonder what the heck Lebron said that got him the technical!

Truth- Lebron hates Dan Gilbert... You can't ignore that fact in your prediction.. Riley is the best GM in the game, no other GM can give him what Riley has proven he can give him.. Any team could have signed the Birdman to assist their play off run, yet it was Riley who did... Lebron isnt blind...

CHyren- I agree that was BS call that pretty much dictated the outcome of the game.. either way the Heat played pretty bad last night.. But the 4 fouls in 7 minutes for Lebron was extremely questionable...

Dumb *** comment to right a wrong. Lebron did not wrong Cleveland. Grow up, America used to be such a tougher place. A kid made a decision to fullfill his dream. What kid would not want to leave that crap hole Cleveland for Miami.

Screw Cleveland and its whiny owner.

Speaking of bad calls, did anyone see the horrible call in the Blackhawks/Red Wings game last night? Almost cost Chicago the series, WTF was that ref smoking? (for those that didn't see it, he waved off a tie-breaking goal by the Hawks with about a minute left in regulation, basically because two guys fell down). Luckily Chicago scored in OT, or that would of gone down as one of the worst anal rapes in sports history.

I agree you can't ever truly say "the greatest" and be vindicated 100%. But some players I remember watching in complete Awe were , Jim Brown, Barry Sanders, Csonka and of course Jerry Rice. They were just a step ahead of their peers in everyway. I see great athletes but I don't see great players much anymore. Ray Lewis stands out as maybe the best complete Football player of this era.Guy didn't get injured much and he brought it every week, everydown. I wouldn't want to try and block him.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Lebron wronged cleveland????

Hey this is a bussiness and when its time to move on so be it.......cleveland owned lebron until his contract expired....After that he was free to do whatever he wanted...

Cleveland should praise lebron for taking them so far in his time there.....

People in cleveland do not appresiate that...

even dwayne wade didnt know what lebron was going to do...And they are close friends.

I remember when lebron announced he was coming to miami.....they showed footage of wade in his house or whatever standing up and applauding lebrons decision.....It seemed by dwaynes reaction he wasnt expecting it.

Off topic...here's an NBA team I'd love to see:

PG: "Pistol" Pete Maravich

SG: Michael Jordan

SF: Dr. J

PF: Blake Griffin

C: Hakeem Olajuwon

Pete can do all the crazy passes while the other 4 can just play in the air without ever coming down drinking smiley

There were a few inside reporters like Steven A smith who said weeks before the season ended they were all going to Miami and the decision was already made.

But whatever.

There's no denying that the way they handled the "decision" was juvenile and self centered.

All you have to do is look at LeBron's popularity polls to see how the vast majority of the public (non-heat fans) viewed the whole thing. He went from the most popular sports figure in the country to the most hated in a month.

He knew MONTHS before the end of that season he wasn't going to go back to Cleveland. He should have told them upfront so they could have tried to trade him to his destination of choice the way Carmello Anthony did with Denver.

He screwed them. Plain and simple. Its why he apologized to the team and the fans in Cleveland.

What he did doesn't make him a bad guy, just someone who made a bad decision.

In fact, I think he's a good guy. That's why I think the allure of making up with his hometown will be very strong.

Lebron's alright w/ me screw Cleveland and its fans. They deserved it bunch of f- losers. If Lebron goes back that's his business. Just like it was his business decision to come to MIA.

Screw the people who are still hung up on this

What if Dan Marino left after his rookie contract was up?

People in Miami would view him the same way Cleveland views LeBron and fans would have been burning their #13 jerseys left and right.

Truth- Carmelo Anthony left Denver, Dwight Howard left Orlando, Bosh left Toronto, Chris Paul left New Orleans.. the list goes on... It is not like Lebron leaving was anything unusual for this day and age in the NBA... Do they all need to "right a wrong" by returning to the teams they left?

I think the Wade/Lebron coming together was planned long before by Wade and Lebron when they both broke the contract mold when they simultaneously signed shorter term deals then normal their rookie year...

And it's not a new thing either. Kareem, basically, left Milwaukee (asking for a trade). Wilt also, essentially, left Philly (again, asking to be traded). In fact, very view superstars played with the same team their entire careers.

Two VERY different things leaving by trade and leaving as a free agent.

One leaves a team in shambles. The other leaves it with pieces to build around.

All things considered Truth I would still be shocked to see LeBron leave. And if i remember correctly i think he said his goal was ten rings.

I agree i would had been pissed as well.....But not to the point of wanting to kill him and burn his shirt in the middle of the street.

Milwaukee never really recovered from Kareem leaving. They didn't want to trade him, but Kareem forced it. That's nearly the same thing.

Cleveland was compensated by Miami for Lebron. It was a typical sign and trade deal, with lots of picks that have helped Cleveland rebuild their team..

Seriously? Jordan never played with a dominant player at any position. He never had a dominant center in a championship year. He was the Bulls.

Jordan was the reason the Bulls won so many championships. What did Scotty Pippen do without Jordan? Nothing....and he was the 2nd best player on any of the championship teams.

Magic had one of the best centers in history in KA Jabbar. James Worthy at Forward. He also never won anything without at least one of those HALL OF FAME players.

The answer is simple and has already been answered in history....it's Jordan because he never played with great players and still won 6.

He has the points and the rings.

I'd completely forgotten all about the draft picks. My bad.

Still, if he'd been traded at the trading deadline Cleveland would have had more leverage and gotten players as well as a pair of 1's and pair of 2's.
