The 2013 AFC East

Granted that there is a lot of time left before the ball gets hiked this season, I though it'd be a good exercise to look at status of our division as it stands.

New England:
I think the Pats are going to have a bumpy road this year in comparison to last. Last year they led the league in passing. This off season they let go of their number 1 and 2 receivers in Lloyd and Welker. I think that this was a big mistake. With issues of injury lingering over their star TE's, and no real threats to speak of for Brady to throw to, this smells like a year for them to take a step back on offense. I know in the past that Brady and coach have made no name players into producers, I just think they've got too many problems to stay at the level of production they need to to get past the rest of the division.

Buffalo Bills:
Everyone on this board will agree, without a solid producer under center, you're a ship without a rudder. The Bills have Manuel and Kolb to hold down the position this year, but I doubt either will produce enough to do much. Combine their lackluster roster and its gaps with a first year head coach, plus switching from 4-3 to 3-4 on defense, I think the Bills are headed for a 2 win season.

NY Jests:
Doughnut boy is on the hotseat. They drafted a spoiled brat to replace Sanchez. The running game that was the bread and butter of their offense is now a joke of its former self. The only positive thing I see on this team is their secondary and that they got rid of Sparano. They are in for a rough year and I think Ryan gets canned this year, possibly during the second half of the season. He doesn't have any discipline in the locker room.

Miami:
Trying to speak without bias is hard, but I think Miami is primed to win the division this year. Given the status of the other teams and the direction they are headed, Miami finally has an edge. We have the roster(or very close to it), we have the coaching staff, and the time is right.

Call me a homer, but I think Miami wins 11 games this year and wins the division.

It really says a lot about Tony if one of the two best things a team can do is to get rid of him. In fact, within the span of about a year, 2 separate teams can say the same basic thing. I mean this in all sincerity - I hope he did a good job of saving because I don't seen any more HC/Coord jobs in his NFL future.

They need to place him as Special teams coordinator. Field Goals were the only thing he seemed to do well.

Good assessment there Odenn. I have a genuine positive feeling about where this team is heading. Can't wait for the season to start. Huge off-season that I believe was one of the best if not the best in the league.

Clearly we are going 6-0 in this division. The Jets just suck. Tom Brady is getting old and Bellicheck is forgetting how to cheat in his old age. And the Jills - who cares.

Ryan Tannehill will steam roller the division like Marino with a defense and running game.

Not sure that I think the pats downgraded at wide receiver though. Lloyd never meshed with Brady and Amendola could be a very good fit. Its nice to see Welker out though. Just crossing my fingers that their TE position doesnt get back to full strength.

I don't know about winning the division, but I saw a quote from Hartline (I think it was Hartline) who said Miami had the best recieving group in the AFC East......fair assesment? I think it is.

Hartline needs to worry about getting 1k yards instead of reverting back to #2 type territory....and stop talking. Do it then talk about it.

Come on guys, people's obsessions with DK every time he post, are way more distracting and annoying then anything DK posts... Drop it already.... Obviously he is making a point, that if everyone says how great the team is all the time is cheesy, inaccurate and boring.. There is a balance, some people are overly positive others negative... You can't just bash the guy off topic constantly because you don't agree with what he says... I think DK has a good football mind and can add a lot to the community if we just get past all of the nonsense... Let the guy post what he wants, if you don't want to respond on a football level, then don't... But constantly attacking him doesn't give it a chance... DK and everyone that dislikes him, can we try ad get past all this so we can talk football... I don't think anyone is without some fault in all this drama... I am not trying to be self righteous, just sick of it all... This is a great community lets try and show it some respect, all of us....

We are not going to run away with the division as long as that F.....

pretty boy Tom Brady is still playing QB for the Cheatriots. He is

still the best QB in the division until otherwise. I think Tannehill

has potential, but the cheatriots won't make it easy on us because of

number 12.

Crowder ........give it a break Jimmy Carter.

Everyone is allowed their opinions. But when you make blatant B.S. statements and don't back them with any fact , over and over , the same blanker statements, it gets old.

On Top of that when members of the community tell you that the don't appreciate the same comments over and over like a bad episode of ground hog day , and you ignore the community and continue , then guess what? Your gonna get shit on like a Toilet stall in a bad Mexican food joint.

Look at our past draft. How can you be a Dolphins fan and not find at least 1 positive thing to say about it? Only 1 conclusion.

GO DOLPHINS!!!!

Treasure, so somehow I am Jimmy Carter because I give a shit about this board.. Do you think anyone enjoys half of our threads being taken over with nonsense any time the guy so much as post anything... I remember when you first came here you had your share of a rough go at it fitting in at first(its a ragged group, lol) and now you are one of the ambassadors of the site so to speak... I remember vouching for you as well when you were a newbie, and. I was obviously right, you are a great guy and valued contributor... Ask JC, if I haven't privately vouched for you in the past when people or topics have gone a little rough.
All I am saying is, if everyone keeps acting as they are acting with DK, nothing is gonna change and it keeps ruining threads.. So lets just get past it... I am sure if you try you can actually strike up a decent football conversation with the guy.. But if everyone keeps insulting each other, nobody is gonna get anywhere.. Truth and I have some very contested debates and get under each others skin at times, but we both always man up and move on... no big deal... It is not that hard

What is there to talk about beside how awesome this team is, and how brilliant the front office is, and how great the stadium is, and how aesthetically superior our new logo is?

The greatness and the glory of this team and all associated with it is "balance". Anything else would obviously be imbalanced towards the Jets or Patriots.

The only way we lose this division is if the Patriots cheat or the Refs job us. Unless one of our players ends up being a mole for the Jets or Patriots... but that is highly unlikely.

Absolutely. Nothing is less creative than questioning the wisdom of this team and its greatness. That troll should be embarrassed to imply that the Jets and Patriots had a shot at beating the greatest team ever.

But you at least explain your position. Most people here do. Saying the same things about Ireland and Ross over and over , answering every question and every thread with the same blanket statements its just asinine.

Ex: Why did they change the color of the golf carts at the stadium?

DK's answer and basic contribution to the thread:
Because Ireland sucks.

Ask any question and it will be the same answer. How can you not be a fan and not be excited about the direction of this team? When your actually not that's how. DK may have you fooled but I know I didn't hear a peep out of him when Miami had the really good run early on in the season. Not a Peep. He disappeared.

The fact that you encourage him is disturbing. Give me1 positive contribution he has ever made to this board? Just gimmie one. Has he ever shared a personal experience? Anything besides Ireland and Ross suck? Ever?

Sorry. I'm not a bully. I hate Bullies. Its my lifes work to go after them. But I can't stand cowards, liars or DB's.He is all 3. Your smarter then that Crowder.

Thanks again though for being in my corner. thumbs up I'd buy you a beer anytime.
