Ireland never offered more than a 3rd round pick.

Reports have it that the Albert trade to Miami is dead!

KC is now going to try to sign him to a long-term deal. Kinda difficult to fathom KC keeping him after drafting Fisher, unless they are thinking of starting Fisher on the right side with Albert on the left, then somewhere down the line, once again attempt to trade Albert.

I think the extension is going to get done so they can create enough cap room to sign their draft picks. I'm not sure it represents a major shift in their long term plans on their O-line.

They are only about $4m under the cap now and Fisher is going to get more than that by himself.

What is so smart about trading away your top two picks for a 4-3 DE who is built like a 3-4 OLB that had only 5 sacks last year?

Miami Dolphins. Always Perfect.

Heard on NFL AM this morning that the "plan" is Albert on the left and Fisher on the right.

KC way overplayed their hand. As soon as they picked OT #1, they had no chance of getting anything nearly what they wanted in a trade.
