Yep we have some great physical players (speed wise), however this will be a busted draft as far as needs go. It will be a miracle if Swope remains until late 5th which is where we are at. Better grab whatever help is avaiable for the offensive line, and possibly a running back.
As far as receiver goes, and after the Bess trade...maybe they are counting on 7-11 showing back up for training camp.
We had needs and lots of picks and failed to fill those needs completly. If we end up .500 at the end of the season after the money we've spent in free agency then I guess we'll finally be rid of Jeff Ireland. I hope it works out for him, but I'm not much of a gambler like this guy is.
trade some of those lower picks and a 5th and get back into the 4th and take swope.
but we won't, this is turning out to be just like every other day 2-3 draft

We don't have any lower picks to trade.
We have 2 5th's and a 7th.
The 2nd 5th and the 76th are compensatory picks and we can't trade them.

Swopes is available, lets see if we pick him with our 5th

He thinks he's in Vegas at the crap table I guess. Guess what he trades down, he's gonna win a lot of crap.

Yes I know, but I was thinking we maybe traded one of our 5th's and our 7th for two spots in the 6th. Looks like we didn't trade for anything. Anybody know anything about a trade with the Rams?
OK. I'm good with Gillislee and Sturgis. We could save some serious bread replacing Carpenter with a very accurate Sturgis. Gillislee is a pretty versatile RB and we needed more depth there. Both good picks IMO. Ross trying to lure the Fla. college fan base to the Dolphins. lol
I still think ("hope" we have some untapped answers on the roster like my personal favorite to cheer for Jeff Fuller -- tho he ain't slot dude that's for sure.
Not sure we have a great answer @slot on the roster which would lead me to believe we'll go super aggressive for slot in UFA -- which is the same pond we fished Bess from.
Lo and behold -- I'm really going to miss that de-dreadlocked overachiever!
