Disagree with everything you said, except for Miami having holes to fill.

I don't understand what the problem is. Some might have wanted us to go the direction of OL or CB, but most analysts proclaimed this guy the top defensive prospect of this years draft. How do you bitch about your GM getting aggressive and roping in the best defensive player on the board? Hell, I remember the days of trade down down down and to me this is a welcome change.

Not really. College production means a lot when it comes to DE. The guy can have all the skills in the world, but if he can't use them on the field it

As a defensive end, he needs to do one thing. Get to the QB. JT did that in college, and was drafted in the second round. He slipped not because of his production, but because he wasn't prototypical in stature.

Now people are saying this guy has the stature of JT, just without the production. So Ireland picks him third overall, and some of you sheep just lap it. You are bamboozeled. How can you think a guy that has brought us so many losing seasons actually knows what he is doing?

JT was a mid second rounder.

So not only is he comparing this guy to a mid-second rounder, he is saying he this guy has to put on weight.

If Ireland could have figured out how to pick a DE with a second round like JT was picked, I'd have given him credit. But he traded away half the farm to move up to pick an underweight, underperforming DE,

Truth is, Ireland is a horrible GM.

you're such a troll. "Traded away half the farm"? By everyone's account, and the trade chart, Ireland completely ripped off OAK in giving up only 1 second rounder. He picked the consensus #1 D prospect in the draft, who some felt could even have been the #1 overall player (certainly he wouldn't have lasted past Philly at 4).

Jordan may have some question marks (can you name a D player in this draft that doesn't?), but to say we got ripped off in the trade and that Ireland reached and picked a bad player is asinine.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better or not, but Jason Taylor was a 3rd rounder.

You are quite correct coopdogg3. Taylor was a 3rd round pick.

But trolls don't concern themselves with accuracy or being correct. They just want maximum chaos from their posts.

I'm serious.

There were DE available at 11. We need a lot of players.

Ireland picked a guy who may have had a good combine, but showed little actual results in college. He picked him at #3 overall. Why bother even making the trade? This team has holes everywhere, and Ireland got a player that hasn't done much and isn't exactly a prototypical size.

So the guy was a "physical specimen". Big deal. People said the same thing about Yatil Green.

yatil green had all the talent in the world i saw him live many times. He was injured and thats a shame.

GreAT hands the ability to get open along with incredible speed.

DK you just hate everyone that plays for any florida team do you?

You are probably a new york jet fan and knicks fan.

Think the knicks can beat the heat?

I said he was medical about Tannehill but it appears that I may have been wrong in saying that he was not really dolfan1, who we have not heard from since the Patsies were knocked out of the playoffs.

berk, I think you are confusing dolfan1 with Mia1 or Thunder/Stunner. dolfan1 was not inarticulate but talked about how great the Pats were.

No, I just hate the front office and ownership of this team. They are driving a once proud franchise into the ground - or may just out to LA...

Its sad that so many of you want to blame me for pointing out that this team has had 4 losing seasons. You should blame the front office.

I was bashed incessantly last year for criticizing a QB that was nearly last in the league statistically. Now the front office is sold the farm for a guy that has done little in college. Just like Tannehill, its obvious to many that the pick should be criticized. You'll just keep you head in the sand point fingers at other fans.

I really don't know how much more you expect a FO to do in the off-season. Ireland is pushing all his chips to the middle of the table. If we flop with all this talent then I will start calling for heads on a platter as well.

NOT BEFORE.

Some people just can't comprehend that Ireland is no longer pushing the Parcells agenda. For only the second year, he is dealing his own hand.

The point you are missing is that WE, as a group are here to discuss the happenings of the Miami Dolphins. We are not here to BASH EVERY SINGE MOVE they make. There is already a forum for that....It's called theganggreen.com.

So either get on board or stop whining about being "blamed" and bashed. It's pretty simple. If I felt as negative about this team as you, I would seriously just stop following the Dolphins or football all together. What's the point?

You obviously like stirring up shit or you wouldn't constantly do it around people who actually like to concentrate on the positive aspects of this team. It's not that hard.

Seriously, you would fit much better as a NY or Philly fan. You know....the ones who were positive that Ricky Williams was a better pick than the QB who took them to 4 Championship games... and the ones that booed Santa Claus.
